======================================= THE REAL JOXER vs. THE SUAVE JOXER IAXS Project #180 By Ganna Lane (klane@zebra.net) Copyright 1997 held by author 322 words ======================================= There are two sides to every dinar. This phrase seemed appropriate to Joxer. What follows is a comparison between the "Real" Joxer and the "Suave" Joxer, as introduced in FOR HIM THE BELL TOLLS (#40), using a point system. 1. BATTLE CRY RJ's (Real Joxer) battle cry is "Don't make me hurt you". Where as SJ's (Suave Joxer) is "Blood, Valor and Victory". SJ gets the point here. 2. SELF CONFIDENCE RJ has a subtle type of self confidence. He has low self-esteem, but when the chips are down he comes out fighting and holds his own. On the other hand SJ's is a cocky self confidence, and he acts like he is the best in an annoying manner. RJ gets the point. 3. RESPECT FOR OTHERS RJ would never steal another man's woman, or act so invincible as to go against a king in a sword fight. Unfortunately this is exactly what SJ does and it would appall RJ to know what his alter ego was doing. RJ gets the point. 4. LOOKS This is a tough one. RJ has natural boyish appeal, but SJ adds sex appeal to that. SJ gets the point. Adding the points up you get: RJ: 2 SJ: 2 It is a tie! You can be the tie breaker using your own personal preference.
