TALES OF THE HERCAVERSE

01-14-99. From Candi McBride. In Promises Iolaus' gauntlet extends over his thumb. It doesn't look separate as it does in Heedless Hearts. We see him hold a sword in his right hand, but he uses it two handed or left handed. The end of the episode has a great close up of the gauntlet/brace when Iolaus shakes hands with Tarlus. (Wouldn't have recognized Marton without looking for him!!).

01-06-99. From Liz Sheppard. ATTACK OF THE RECURRING ACTORS. Some faces will appear in the future, but not the characters: Marton Csokas played Tarlus in this episode, but he's later known in the Xenaverse as Krafstar and Borias in the Rift episodes. Josephine Davison, who played Ramina is also seen in the forth season Hercules episode, Web of Desire; she played Arachne. Joel Tobeck, here playing Beraeus, is most known as Strife, as seen in multiple episodes. Paul Norell also played the peddler in the Quill is Mightier, but he's most known as Falafel.

01-06-99. From Liz Sheppard. What is with Iolaus and dancing girls in episodes where Joel Tobeck's characters die? In Armageddon Part I, Iolaus was crazy for dancing girls while eating lunch with Hercules in town, and Strife died later in the episode. In Promises, the same deal is going on; he even watches a girl dance and Beraeus dies in the end. Coincidence???!!? I think not.
