Erica takes Bianca to SOS (a bar!); Erica NEEDS to throw bianca a party; Uncle Jack join the ladies at the bar; Bianca orders nachos; Erica tries to get a hold of David; Bianca tells Jack that she thinks that David is out; Erica tells David that she misses him
Erica: Well, here we are, sweetheart -- S.O.S., Sounds of salsa. It's great, isn't it?
Bianca: It's very bright.
Erica: Oh, honey, this is the club. Really, everybody wants to be at S.O.S. Did you know BBMak played here?
Bianca: That's cool.
Erica: Yeah. Bianca, you have been away from Pine Valley for such a long time. Let me give you a great
welcome-home party. We'll invite all your friends.
Bianca: Mom, I don't have any friends here anymore.
Erica: Well, then that is all the more reason why I need to give you party -- so you can get back in circulation.
Bianca: Mom, parties are your thing, not mine.
Erica: We'll hire a D.J. We'll play all your favorite music. Oh, what bands do you like?
Bianca: Nothing you've heard of. Oh, hey, there's Leo. When were you going to tell me about your houseguest?
Erica: I guess I was just so excited that you were home, I forgot about him.
Bianca: Does he always strut around the house without any clothes on?
Erica: Bianca, did Leo come on to you? Because if he did, I swear, I will ask him to leave that house right this minute.
Bianca: Mom, no. Mom, Leo did not put any moves
on me. Don't worry.
Erica: Well, all right. But, I mean, if he makes
you at all uncomfortable --
Bianca: No. I like having him around. He's so not like your other friends.
Jack: Whoa, how lucky am I -- two of my favorite ladies right here.
Bianca: Hi, Uncle Jack.
Jack: Oh, don't give me "hi", give me a hug. Been saving one for you. Oh, look at you. You look great.
Bianca: Thanks. So do you.
Jack: Thanks. But what happened? I turn my back for, what, a second, and you become a young woman. How did that happen?
Bianca: I grew up, I guess.
Jack: I guess so. And into a real heartbreaker. You know, you'll probably end up breaking hundreds of hearts if you follow your mother's course here.
Erica: Oh, Jack. You know, we haven't talked about boys yet. We've still been talking about Barbara and her really archaic parenting.
Jack: Meow. Be nice.
Erica: Well, no. What fun is that? Anyway, will you excuse me, please? Because I really have to make an important phone call. You two play catch-up, ok? I'll be right back, sweetheart.
Jack: Sit down, kiddo.
Erica: Yes, hello. Could you please connect me to Dr. David Hayward's room? He's not? Thank you. Well, where are you, David? And with whom?
Man: Dr. Hayward's exchange.
Erica: Yes, connect me right away, please.
Man: Ma'am, this is Dr. Hayward's message center.
If you'd care to leave your name and number, I could give --
Erica: No, I would not, most certainly not like to leave my name and number, thank you very much. Just connect me, or I will speak to your superiors.
Man: Dr. Hayward can only be reached in case of emergency.
Erica: This is an emergency. You tell Dr. Hayward to call Erica Kane. It's a matter of life and death.
Bianca: Everything ok, mom?
Erica: Of course everything's ok. You're here. How could anything be wrong? Hope you're hungry.
Bianca: Oh, yeah.
Jack: Well, I am.
Bianca: I'm starving. It's a joke, mom. Chill, ok?
All right. Mom, Uncle Jack, time-out. I know that you guys are really concerned because I have food
issues, but I have it under control now. I mean, you remember the last time you took me out to eat, all I had was ice water and artificial sugar. But now I scale the whole food pyramid three times a day
from top to bottom, ok?
Jack: Ok. Well, she certainly busted us quickly, didn't she?
Erica: We've been busted.
Jack: Mm-hmm, busted.
Erica: Order whatever you want, bianca.
Bianca: Well, I tell you, the nachos sound killer.
Erica: Oh, we can do nachos.
Bianca: Double sour cream.
Erica: Yes, yes, hello. This is Erica Kane. I called earlier. I had left an urgent message for Dr. Hayward. Why hasn't he called me back? When? Well, then why hasn't he returned my call?
Jack: I'm sure your mother will solve whatever business problem is keeping her from us and she'll be right back.
Bianca: No, she's trying to call David. Do you know what's up with that?
Jack: Well, obviously you know they've been seeing
each other for some time. From what I can gather,
Bianca: It's tanking is what it is. They were having a real knockdown-dragout fight when I came home the other day. I don't think she's talked to David since. Do you think they'll break up?
Jack: I don't know. I don't know. You see, even after all these years, your mother is still an absolute mystery to me.
Erica: Oh, well, I'm back.
Erica: So, should my ears be burning?
Erica: So, Bianca, Jack, anyone, room for dessert?
Bianca: Sure. I guess so.
Jack: Good for you. What's it going to be, the fried
ice cream or the flan?
Erica: Oh, excuse me. Hello?
David: Erica, it's me. What's the emergency?
Erica: Well, I've been trying to track you down all night, David. Listen, I strongly suggest that you fire that answering service of yours. The operator was so rude.
David: Well, thank you for telling me. I'll make sure that I boil him in hot oil. Now, what do you want?
Erica: Well, what do you think? I want to see you.
David: I thought you wanted to spend more time with Bianca.
Erica: Well, we've been having a really glorious time, but the truth is we miss you. We want you to join us.
David: Can't do it. I'm too busy here at the hospital.
Alex: All right. Good night, David.
Erica: Yeah, so I hear. Was that Alex?
David: Yes, it was. And as a matter of fact, we just
had passionate sex here on my desk.
Erica: That's not funny, David.
David: None of this is funny, Erica -- your possessiveness, your paranoia.
Erica: Well, it is hardly paranoia if you are sneaking around with that British ice queen behind my back, is it?
Bianca: Excuse me. I have to go splash some water
on my face.
Jack: Yeah, go ahead.
Erica: And how dare you speak to me like that. What's going on with you?
Jack: Give me this. Give me this thing!
Erica: What are you doing?
Jack: What the h*** is the matter with you? Your daughter does not deserve that.
Erica: Oh, bianca.
Bianca: Mom. I was going to reapply my lipstick. Enchantment number 24. Blissful pink.
Erica: Bianca, I am sorry about the phone call.
Bianca: Phone call? Oh, David. Forget it.
Erica: I upset you.
Bianca: Me? No way. Uncle Jack, maybe. I think he still has a thing for you.
Erica: Look, honey, the truth is that David and I are having some minor problems.
Bianca: Oh, well, welcome to the real world. If you need some time to fix what's broken, that's cool
Erica: No, honey, no. Now that you're back here
with me, I want to spend all my time with you. I just want to spend every hour of every day with you.
Here. Be sure to blot. See you back at the table.
Bianca: Every hour of every day, huh? We'll see about that.
Bianca asks Erica if her and David are through; Erica tells her that things are just bumpy; Erica leaves Bianca with Leo at the bar; Leo introduces Bianca to Becca; Greenlee arrives and starts taunting Bianca
Bianca: Where's Uncle Jack?
Erica: He wanted just to give us some time alone.
Erica: To talk.
Bianca: About what?
Erica: I want you to be comfortable about my relationship with David.
Bianca: What does that have to do with me?
Erica: Well, you happen to have come home just during a time where David and I are having a -- let's just call it a scratchy period. But it's nothing serious, and I don't want you to worry about it at all, all right?
Bianca: Well, you guys don't look too happy.
Erica: We're just having some disagreements about some things, but it's not -- none of it's important. None of it's important, and it's going to just work out fine.
Bianca: Mom, Mom --
Bianca: I'm not a kid anymore. I can take it.
Erica: Take what, honey?
Bianca: Look, I know all the warning signs. You and David are through, aren't you?
Erica: Sweetheart, I'm really sorry that you're worried about this, but David and I are not breaking up. I mean -- look, things are a little different between David and me than they've ever been between me and any of the other men that I've known. David -- he can be hard to reach. He's volatile. So I guess we do a little bit more arguing than other couples --
Bianca: Mom, Mom --
Erica: But that's --
Bianca: I don't need the gory details, and I'm not going to fall apart when you walk away from another guy. I mean, it's your life, your choice.
Erica: Oh, my goodness. Bianca, you make it sound as if I walk away from commitment out of some force of habit. Well, maybe it's good that you pointed out this habit to me.
Bianca: Mom, listen. I'm sorry that I jumped on you like that.
Bianca: I didn't mean to.
Erica: No, really. I think maybe it's a good thing that I have another look at my behavior with David and fix it. Yes, that's what I'll do. I'll fix it. I'll fix it tonight.
Bianca: Just like that?
Erica: Yes, just like that. And that way you won't have to feel that you've walked into the middle of a breakup or anything like that, ok? So, all right, I'm going to take you home, and then I'm going to go find David, and I am going to straighten things out. I said I want to take you home.
Bianca: No, it's ok, Mom. You -- you go do whatever. I like it here. I think I'm going to stick around for a while.
Erica: Well, Bianca, I'm not going to leave you in a bar.
Bianca: Mother, you brought me to a bar.
Erica: No, I mean that I'm not going to leave you here alone.
Bianca: Well, I'll ask Leo to give me a lift.
Erica: Oh, no, no, Bianca, really. I'm sorry. I can't allow that.
Bianca: Mother, I'm not leaving. I mean it.
Leo: Are you going to back me up here?
Bianca: I'm sorry, Leo.
Erica: Leo, I have to leave, and Bianca needs someone to keep her company.
Bianca: I do not. I just need a ride home.
Leo: I'm not leaving anytime soon.
Bianca: That's cool with me.
Erica: Just have her home by 10:00.
Leo: Erica, are you tuning me out or what?
Erica: Leo, do I need to remind you that I am putting you up in my home? Do I also need to remind you that there have never been any strings whatsoever attached to my generosity? I have never asked you for one thing, have I?
Leo: It's just that I'm sort of --
Erica: Just buy the girl some dessert, charge it to my account, and have her home by 10:00.
Erica: 10:01. Don't worry about a thing, honey, about the things that we were discussing earlier. By the time you get home, everything is going to be all settled. It's going to be done. Thanks, Leo. Thanks for offering to take my daughter home.
Bianca: I'm your favorite person in the world right now, aren't I?
Leo: No, I do owe your mother a lot.
Bianca: And I'm payback. Well, I'm really sorry.
Leo: Nah, forget it. Forget about it. You can hang out with Becca and I -- oh, sit back. And when the fur flies, we can duck under the table together.
Becca: Leo, she hates me. We can't hang out with her.
Leo: We don't have to. I won't subject you to any more of Greenlee's abuse, I promise. All right? Hey, Erica asked if I could take her daughter home after we leave. That'll be ok?
Becca: Introduce me.
Leo: All right. Bianca, this is Becca.
Becca: It's nice to meet you. Leo says you're going to be around for a couple weeks, huh?
Becca: That's great. Where did -- where were you living before?
Bianca: You guys, I don't need a babysitter. If you just want to let me know when you want to split, I'll be ready.
Becca: Bianca, it's fine.
Bianca: No, no, it's not fine. You guys are on a date, and now you have me.
Becca: No, really. This isn't exactly a date. We're kind of starting fresh?
Leo: It's a long story.
Bianca: Well, go on, then. Why don't you go to the jukebox and put on something slow and sexy?
Leo: Yeah, you heard her.
Leo: She said to go put on something hot and sexy.
Singers: Share this night together could I hold you close beside me could I hold you
Greenlee: Hello. I know who you are.
Bianca: I know who you are, too.
Greenlee: I was at your house. I even slept in your mother's bed --
Bianca: Excuse me?
Greenlee: With Leo. You, unlike her stuff, fascinate me. What's it like to be Erica Kane's daughter?
Bianca: No different from anyone else's daughter.
Greenlee: Oh, please. What is it, like, eight ex-husbands? And didn't she stab one of them?
Bianca: Look, I --
Greenlee: And then she kidnapped a baby a few years back, right? Got off.
Bianca: Isn't that where you were sitting before with that guy?
Bianca: There's a waitress picking up a cell phone. Is it yours? Because if it is, you might want to call someone and ask them for instructions on how not to be a total --
Greenlee: That's Ryan's cell phone. He lied to me.
Singer: Baby, please
Greenlee tells Bianca about Ryan's cellphone; Bianca tells Hayley and Mateo that she likes their show; Bianca meets Hayley's mother, wife of Adam; Bianca meets Gillian; Bianca sneaks Gillian a message from Ryan
Bianca: So, whose cell phone is this?
Greenlee: The cell phone belongs to Ryan Lavery. He said he was going outside to make a phone call, so why leave this behind?
Bianca: Beats me.
Greenlee: Unless he was not making a phone call.
Leo: Hey, Bianca. You having fun?
Bianca: Yes. I have taken on a new challenge. Greeny and I are getting to know each other.
Greenlee: It's Greenlee. Have you guys seen Gillian?
Becca: Last time I saw her, she was on her way to the bathroom.
Hayley: I can't get over it -- Bianca all grown up. And so gorgeous, too.
Bianca: Thank you. Congratulations on your wedding.
Mateo: Thank you very much.
Bianca: By the way, I wanted to tell you that I'm a huge fan of your show. It's the bomb.
Hayley and Mateo: The bomb!
Hayley: Oh, good.
Mateo: Since you're a fan, maybe you can help us out.
Bianca: Sure. With what?
Hayley: Show ideas. We're trying to think of, you know, what people would like to see done on the show. I mean, anything at all. Just let your mind go.
Bianca: Ok, well, if something should hit me, I will be sure to let you know.
Hayley: Great. Did you come here with your mom?
Bianca: I did. She was here before, but she had to take off. She had something to take care of.
Mateo: Well, listen, if you want me to introduce you to somebody --
Bianca: Oh, no, that's ok. I appreciate it. Actually, I'm here hanging out with my Mom's houseguest, Leo du Pres. Although he does look a little busy right now.
Arlene: Hey, Mateo.
Arlene: Hi, Sweetie. What's with the glasses?
Arlene: You know, you kids have got it made. Our joint never gets this lively. Even happy hour's like a wake.
Hayley: Mom, you remember Bianca Montgomery, Erica's daughter?
Arlene: Oh, how about that. I would never have picked you as Erica's daughter.
Bianca: Yeah, well, I take after my dad.
Arlene: Yeah, I guess. Oh, Sweetie, I'm so glad you called. I mean, managing Adam's bar is driving me stir-crazy, no pun intended.
Bianca: Is that Adam Chandler?
Arlene: I always forget that my husband is a celebrity. That's right, pumpkin, the Adam Chandler.
Bianca: Your husband?
Arlene: Mm-hmm. Oh, right. Well, your mother was married to him once, too.
Bianca: Twice, actually.
Arlene: I think my Adam has been -- well, he's the only person in Pine Valley who's been down that aisle more than Erica. And his marriages never lasted, either, until -- well, until now.
Greenlee: That Bianca seems laid-back, not at all like her mom.
Gillian: Yeah, I like her.
Greenlee: Hmm. Whatever. So, how's the Jake front? Have you heard anything about his whereabouts?
Gillian: No, and it's none of your business, Greenlee
Greenlee: All right. Pardon me for caring about your poor lost husband.
Gillian: Just forget it, ok? Bianca, no. It's broken.
Gillian: You shouldn't use that one. It's broken.
Greenlee: You're like the terminator of the bathroom, you know that, Gillian?
Bianca: It seems to be working now.
Gillian: Ok. I guess it was the other one, then.
Greenlee: If you see Ryan, will you tell him that I have his cell phone?
Bianca: The coast is clear.
Ryan: Thank you for not giving me away. I wish I could explain what I was doing in there, but I really can't.
Bianca: Well, no one will hear it from me.
Ryan: Could I ask you another favor?
Ryan: Do you have a pen?
Bianca: Yeah, I do.
Ryan: If I write a note, would you do me a favor and slip it to Gillian?
Bianca: Oh, sure.
Ryan: You, my dear, are an angel.
Bianca: Um -- one question. How do you intend to get out of here?
Ryan: Same way I came in.
Bianca: Hey, Gillian, can I talk to you for a minute?
Gillian: Listen, I really wanted to apologize for what happened in the bathroom, that whole scene.
Bianca: Oh, no, no, no. Forget it. That Greenlee is some piece of work.
Gillian: Yeah. Yeah, she really works on my nerves. But thank you again.
Bianca: Oh, no problem. Listen, after you left, Ryan gave me this note for you.
Gillian: Oh. Thanks.
Hayley: Ok, "Wave" crew, I have an announcement to make. Do not report to the studio tomorrow. Instead, go directly to Willow Lake, where WRCW and "Wave" and me are hosting a tremendous, beautiful barbecue at the beach.
Mateo: I already invited my whole staff. Just bring yourselves, the towels, some suntan lotion, and whomever floats your boat.
Hayley: And, Bianca, please feel free to come.
Bianca: Oh, I would love to, but I'm sure that my mom has something planned.
Ryan: Hey. You got my note.
Gillian: Yeah, Bianca was really sweet.
Ryan: Listen, I know it's dangerous for us to meet here like this, but I had to ask you -- in the bathroom, when Greenlee asked you about Jake, you really lost it.
Gillian: She keeps throwing Jake in my face, and I can't stand it.
Ryan: No, I know, but did Joe say anything to you about Jake to make you so upset?
Gillian: No. No, it's not him. Ryan, I just feel like such a fraud. I was sitting in this very park and he poured his heart out to me. He's so worried about his son.
Ryan: I know it's rough on him.
Gillian: He totally thinks that I'm madly in love with Jake. And I do love him, but not the way Ruth and Joe think I do. I just feel like such a hypocrite.
Ryan: I'm sorry, Princess.
Gillian: I came this close to telling Joe everything. Should I? Is it right to keep the truth from him this way?
Erica wants to do a make-over on Bianca; Erica tells Bianca that David asked her to marry him; Ryan visits Erica and Bianca; Bianca finally ditches her mother and Leo finds her; Leo and Bianca discuss Becca; Leo asks Bianca if she's a virgin and Bianca does not answer;
Erica: And this -- this is my absolute favorite of the entire collection. I've had my labs work eight weeks to get this shade exactly right, perfect.
Bianca: Eight weeks.
Bianca: Wow. It's really pretty.
Erica: Well, if you like, you can send one of these to every one of your friends back home.
Bianca: Cool! Thanks.
Erica: Ok. Well, how many should I have them send up, honey? About 20?
Bianca: Um -- four.
Erica: Good. Ok. You know what I'm in the mood for now, what I think would be fun? I am in the mood for a makeover.
Bianca: Oh, God.
Erica: I think we'll start with the eyebrows and work down.
Bianca: No, no, Mom, please.
Erica: Oh, come on, Bianca. You're going to love this.
Bianca: But, Mom, I just got here. Can't you get used to me the way I am before you start changing me?
Erica: Honey, I don't need to change you. My goodness. You're just perfect the way nature made you.
Bianca: But we can improve on nature.
Erica: Well, honey, I have made a fortune doing just that. Oh, Bianca, have you noticed? Have you noticed how Enchantment has grown since the last time you were here?
Bianca: Ah. So that's the real reason for this mother-daughter morning? "Someday all this shall be yours."
Erica: Well, it can be if you want it. And I know that you, of course, don't know what you want right now, though I do think it would be time, you know, for you start thinking about it.
Erica: And I don't care what you choose to do, just as long as you're happy.
Bianca: You mean as long as I have it all?
Erica: Well, why not? I do.
Bianca: Do you, Mom?
Erica: Of course I do. Honey, I think that I have achieved just about everything that a person can achieve.
Bianca: Can we go look at the lipstick lab?
Erica: What are you thinking? Yeah, I know what you're thinking, Bianca.
Bianca: Mom! Ok, I'm not deaf. I've heard you fighting with your boyfriend.
Erica: Oh. Dr. Hayward is not my boyfriend. He's asked me to marry him.
Bianca: Mom, did you love my father?
Erica: Honey, where is this coming from?
Bianca: Just answer the question. Did you marry him because you were in love with him or because you were afraid of being alone?
Erica: Well, who put such a ridiculous idea in your head? Barbara? Bianca, I loved your father very much. He gave me you.
Bianca: But that wasn't enough. You got involved with Uncle Jack.
Erica: There was much more to it than that. Why? What did Travis say?
Bianca: Nothing. Nobody is putting ideas into my head. I just never understood what it is you want.
Erica: Well, I want is to love a man who loves you in return, who makes you feel like -- like you're the center of his world.
Bianca: And did Daddy make you feel that way?
Erica: Very much so.
Bianca: You know, Daddy is a wonderful man. I mean, when I first moved to Seattle, I was really afraid of starting a new life there, and Daddy would tuck me in every night and remind me of our secret -- that he loved me most of all.
Erica: And he still does, honey. Believe me, that will never change.
Bianca: Mom, I am 16 years old. You do not have to explain to me that it wasn't my fault that you two split up. I know it wasn't my fault.
Erica: Ahem. Well, are you trying to say that you think it's mine?
Bianca: I don't know. That's what I'm trying to figure out. I mean, Mom, if love is so important to you, then why can't you ever make it last?
Ryan: Oh, well, Val told me I could wait in here. Are you ready for me?
Erica: Oh, I'm sorry. We came in the back way. I'm -- look, to be very candid with you, I -- I'm afraid I forgot about our meeting.
Ryan: Oh. Well, do you need a minute or --
Erica: No, no. No. I guess not.
Bianca: I'll just take a look in the lipstick lab.
Erica: No, Bianca, please. Stay here and sit in on the meeting. Listen to Mr. Lavery. You've met my daughter, Bianca.
Ryan: Yes, I have. Nice to see you again, Bianca.
Bianca: It's good to see you, too.
Ryan: And I would love for you to stay.
Erica: Well, I warn you -- my daughter asks the hard questions.
Erica: Bianca, what do you think, sweetheart?
Bianca: I think it's an awesome idea. I mean, your greatest dream, anywhere in the world -- everyone I know would want to do it.
Erica: Well, that's a ringing endorsement.
Erica: Oh, no pun intended.
Ryan: Yeah. Excuse me.
Gillian: Something's happened. Can you meet me in the park?
Ryan: Yes, right away. [ends phone call] Well, they just can't get along without me. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get going.
Erica: I understand. I will have one of my attorneys call you this afternoon.
Ryan: And I will be waiting. Thank you, Erica.
Ryan: And thank you, Bianca. I'll see you.
Erica: Bye. Well, I'll just let you get back to work.
Erica: No, no, Bianca. I want to answer your question.
Bianca: I don't remember what I asked you.
Erica: It's a fair question. Why can't I make my relationships last?
Bianca: Mom --
Erica: The answer is I don't know. I do know that I always expect them to. Every time I fall in love, honey, I am so sure that it's going to last forever. And when it doesn't, it hurts me very, very much.
Bianca: I'm sorry, Mom. It's really none of my business.
Erica: Oh, honey, of course it is. You're growing up. I mean, you're thinking about love now. I just wish that we had more time to have these kinds of talks. I hope that in the next few years you meet someone wonderful and that you and he love each other for as long as you live. It's just, honey, that it doesn't always work that way.
Bianca: I know, Mom. It doesn't.
Erica: But you know what the secret is? Never give up. I have never given up on trying to find a love that lasts, and I never will.
David: Hello, Erica. Hi, Bianca.
Bianca: Hi. I -- I think I will go down to the lab now.
Erica: All right, honey. I'll join you there in a few minutes. I haven't forgotten about our makeover.
Bianca: Hey, ok. Sorry. Sorry. I was just trying to drown out memories of my morning. You've been to the beach.
Bianca: Looks like you had just about as much fun as I did. What happened?
Leo: Sunspots, I think.
Bianca: Sunspots? Really?
Leo: Something went seriously amiss with the universe. At else could make me actually turn down sex?
David: Tell me that you love me.
Erica: I have told you that I love you many times.
David: Then if you love me, trust me.
Erica: I want to.
David: But you don't.
Erica: To trust you, David, I would have to feel -- I mean, really feel -- that I'm the center of your world.
David: Erica, try to remember where I come from, ok? My father put my mother at the center of his world. He erased himself entirely for her.
Erica: Oh --
David: And I watched with my own eyes as my mother drove him to suicide.
Erica: And that's why you have a wall around your heart.
David: That may be the case, but I have opened up my heart to you.
Erica: No, David, you haven't. Not completely. You always kept something for yourself because you don't trust me either. And without that, David, we don't stand a chance. Boy, and people always accuse me of being spoiled and self-centered. Boy, is that not true.
David: No, I know it isn't. You give a great deal. You've given me a great deal.
Erica: I guess I just want a lot back. Oh, do you know that Bianca just asked me why I can't make love last?
David: She did? Just now?
Erica: And I told her that I don't know, but maybe it's simple. I know what I need from the man I love, just like you do. And the fact is I don't love you the way you need me to. And I don't think that you love me the way I need to be loved.
David: Don't say that.
Erica: Because it's true.
David: So, this is it, then?
Erica: Yeah. This is it.
Leo: I've been waiting for her for months. I thought I was going to have to wait till the next millennium. And there she is, begging for it. And what do I do? Turn into Mr. Nice guy, Mr. Nobleman.
Bianca: Well, why did you?
Leo: Problem is the girl in question.
Bianca: Becca, I'm assuming.
Leo: Yes. Becca. She's a virgin. But she doesn't want to have sex until she's sure that it's the real thing.
Bianca: Oh. Well, that's kind of cool.
Leo: Are you a virgin?
Leo: I'm sorry.
Bianca: Hey, did my mother put you up to this?
Leo: Yeah, right. Look, it's none of my business. I'm sorry. Guess I used up my chivalry quota for the day. You forgive me?
Bianca: Yeah, yeah, I forgive you. And I am a virgin.
Leo: Really? Still a big deal, huh, even in the 21st century.
Bianca: Well, why wouldn't it be? Oh, look, the subject hasn't exactly come up yet in my case. I'm only 16, you know. I have other things on my mind -- school, my horse --
Leo: Your horse? Smart to wait.
Bianca: Stop it. You know what I mean. Now, let me ask you a personal question.
Leo: No. The answer is no, not for a long time.
Bianca: No, seriously, did you just want to sleep with Becca, or do you really love her?
Leo: No, I -- I think I'm going to take that shower.
Bianca: Hey, Leo -- anytime you want to talk.
Erica begin party arrangements; Erica discusses Bianca with Palmer and tells him her and David are over; Jack and Bianca arrive; Bianca tells Erica she does not want the party and Jack takes Bianca's side; Erica tells Jack and Bianca that she and David are no more
Erica: Yes. Yes, this is Erica Kane, and I want to give a party for my daughter. I want to give her a really, really great party, and I'm looking for a theme. Well, I don't want anything too cutesy because she's 16. Yes, I would like entertainment very much. In fact, I'd like a name. Good. Ok. Yes, fax me all the details. Thank you. Ok. I am going to give Bianca the biggest bash this town has ever seen.
Palmer: Erica. Val said just come in.
Erica: Oh, Palmer, hi. Yes. Oh, Palmer, I'm so happy that you had time to stop by.
Palmer: Well, darling, you said it was important.
Erica: Yes, yes. I'm giving a party for Bianca. Please, sit down.
Palmer: Oh, I didn't know she was in town.
Erica: Yes, she's in town for the rest of the summer.
Palmer: Oh, wonderful, wonderful. How is she?
Erica: She's so strong. She is so healthy, Palmer.
Palmer: And the eating problem?
Erica: Under control, thank God.
Palmer: Well, I'm glad to hear that. I mean, poor girl's been through enough. Both of you have.
Erica: Well, there were days I really felt that I might lose my daughter.
Palmer: Oh, come on. She has her mother's heart. She's a survivor.
Erica: Well. And she certainly has the love of friends like you. Palmer, I was hoping that you could co-host her party with me.
Palmer: Well, I -- there's nothing I'd like better to do, but unfortunately, I'm leaving on a Mediterranean cruise.
Erica: Oh, Palmer. Oh, Palmer, I'm so disappointed that you're not going to be here. Palmer, you know how fond Bianca is of you.
Palmer: Well, surely David can step in.
Erica: What do you mean?
Palmer: Well, your beau can co-host the party. I thought that David and Bianca were quite close.
Erica: Well, David is no longer a part of my life. Or Blanca's.
Palmer: I'm sorry it didn't work out between you and David.
Erica: Oh, Palmer, please. You are not. You despise him.
Palmer: Well, the bastard doesn't deserve you. I got a good mind to call him up, tell him exactly what I think of him.
Erica: Trust me, Palmer, he knows how you feel.
Palmer: Yeah. Anyway, I don't like to see you hurt.
Erica: You know something, Palmer? This is really the best thing that ever could have happened because, I mean, now I can devote all my time to Bianca and my friends.
Palmer: There is an added bonus. You can get rid of Leo at the same time.
Erica: Oh, Leo, Leo. Well, no, I'm not going to throw him out.
Palmer: You are so softhearted. The last thing that ne'er-do-well needs is more coddling.
Erica: Well, what if I were to throw him out? What's the first thing he would do? I mean, he'd think he'd have no choice but to go running to Vanessa.
Palmer: Well, I certainly don't want that to happen.
Erica: And I don't, either.
Palmer: That is for Leo's sake.
Erica: Well, she's not any good for you, either, Palmer, and I know that you know that. So what are you going too? Are you going to divorce her?
Palmer: The only thing on my mind right now is this cruise. I am going to gamble until the wee hours, I'm going to sleep late, and then I'm going to eat everything the doctors say I shouldn't eat. And Vanessa is not going to be there to nag me.
Erica: She's not? Vanessa is not going on this cruise with you?
Palmer: Absolutely not.
Erica: Oh, Palmer! That's the best --
Jack: We have arrived.
Erica: Oh, hi.
Bianca: Hey, Mom. Uncle Jack got us these killer cones. Want to try?
Erica: No, honey, thanks. No, no, no. Careful. Silk. Anyhow, looks like it was great.
Erica: Thank you, Jack. Thank you for picking Bianca up.
Palmer: Good Lord, Bianca -- is that really you?
Bianca: Uncle Palmer! My goodness!
Palmer: Would you just look at you. I mean, you're so grown-up.
Erica: Didn't I tell you?
Palmer: Oh, I'm sorry I'm not going to be here for your party. I hope you're still in town when I get back from the Mediterranean.
Bianca: Um, yeah. me, too.
Palmer: My. Well, Erica, I'll be in touch.
Erica: Ok, Palmer. Ok.
Jack: I'm kind of sticky here.
Bianca: So, party? What does that mean?
Erica: Yes, that's right. I am going to give you the biggest bash Pine Valley has ever seen, and you are going to be the talk of the town.
Bianca: No, Mom, you can't.
Erica: I want to have a party for you.
Bianca: What about what I want?
Erica: You've been gone for so long. It'll be so much fun.
Bianca: I can't believe you're completely ignoring me.
Erica: Ignoring you? Bianca, I just want to show you off.
Bianca: So I have to wear a froufrou dress and let everybody stare at me?
Erica: You know what, honey? The only reason anybody would be staring at you is because you'd be the prettiest girl in the room.
Bianca: I don't like parties, Mom.
Erica: Honey, every girl likes parties, and you'll be the guest of honor.
Bianca: That's even worse. I'll be on display like some kind of freak. I'll have to make small talk with people I don't know and remember everybody's name and laugh at jokes that aren't funny. I don't want to do it, Mom. Don't make me.
Jack: Well, actually, I think Bianca might have a point. I mean, she's just gotten here, she doesn't know that many people in town. Let her get settled in, reacquainted with her old friends, and then you can throw a party that'll knock our socks off. What do you think?
Erica: Honestly, you two. A party is the perfect solution to the problem.
Bianca: It's not a problem, Mom.
Jack: Look, if Bianca would be more comfortable waiting for a while --
Erica: Honey, you're going to love this, I promise you. You'll be in on the planning of every single detail with me. And it'll be wonderful, and it'll give us a chance to spend time together.
Bianca: Mom, we can spend time together without planning a party.
Erica: Oh, honey, I know that. I also know that you're probably -- you're feeling a little shy right now, and that is natural.
Bianca: Yeah, not for you.
Erica: Well, when you become involved, then you'll be just excited as I am. And you'll thank me.
Bianca: Uncle Jack, please talk to her.
Jack: Well, I'll do my best. But remember, I'm only one man.
Erica: Do you know how many girls would just give anything to have a party like this?
Bianca: I don't want it. Thank you.
Erica: Bianca, wait, please. Where are you going? Well, what was all that about?
Erica: Well, when I was 16, I would have been delirious if my mother ever gave me the kind of party I plan to throw for Bianca.
Jack: Bianca is not you, Erica.
Erica: Jack, I know that. I just want to make her feel special, that's all. I want to be able to show her how proud I am of her. Can't you see it, Jack? Can't you see Bianca all dressed up and laughing and flirting and dancing?
Jack: Yeah, I can see that. But have you asked her if that's what she wants?
Erica: Well, I didn't have ask her, did I? I mean, she just told me.
Jack: Yeah, she did.
Erica: And she's going to have such a wonderful time. She just doesn't know it yet. Jack, I really would appreciate your support on this. I mean, I'm sure you can see that she really is a little bit withdrawn.
Jack: What I've noticed, Sweetheart, is that that little girl is growing up, but she's trying to figure out who she is.
Erica: And obviously Barbara has the parenting skills of a Cretin. I'm going to have to undo the damage.
Jack: Hey, why not "undo the damage" by throwing a nice little, intimate barbecue in the back yard?
Erica: A barbecue?
Erica: Are you kidding? Jack, I think my daughter is worthy of a little bit more than a wienie roast. I've been on the phone with a wonderful party planner from New York who's --
Jack: Don't you think that's maybe just a little bit too much?
Erica: No, don't even say it. This is not a competition thing. I really just want what's best for Bianca.
Jack: All right, just stop for a second, ok?
Jack: This is Jack you're talking to here. Now, your enthusiasm for this is very touching. But there's something else going on here. What is it?
Jack: I know what you're doing, ok, and please, don't do it. Don't make a project of Bianca to take your mind off whatever's eating at you.
Erica: I would never do that to my daughter.
Jack: No, I know that. Not intentionally, but something's going on here. What is it?
Erica: My daughter is here and she's healthy, and Enchantment's about to post the best quarter it's ever had.
Jack: That's all very good news, but there's a glaring omission here, Erica.
Jack: How's David?
Erica: I assume he's fine.
Jack: You assume he's fine?
Erica: Well, I've been very busy with Bianca ever since she arrived.
Jack: Too busy to see David.
Erica: I told you how devoted David is to his career.
Jack: Oh, yes, that's right. You were going to give him a little more space.
Erica: And David can have all the space he needs.
Jack: Well, I can only take that to mean that you two have had another spat?
Erica: You know something, Jack? This is really none of your business.
Jack: Listen, Kiddo. You know I'm on your side here, right?
Erica: All right. We broke it off.
Jack: Well, I guess I'm sorry to hear that.
Erica: No, actually, it's a good thing. I mean, David is not right for me. I'm relieved.
Jack: Well, tell you the truth, so am I. I never really liked that guy. But I know you. And I know how much you put into making this relationship work, and you can't make me believe that because it hasn't you've clicked your heels together three times and everything you and David had never existed.
Erica: Jack, what do you want me to say? David is out of my life.
Jack: Just that easy, just like that?
Erica: End of story.
Bianca: Did you break up because of me?
Erica: Oh, no. Of course not, Bianca. No. David and I had problems long before you came back. Look, it just wasn't meant to be.
Bianca: Mom, you said he proposed.
Erica: But a proposal doesn't always lead to marriage.
Bianca: It has for you.
Jack: Well, not every time. I'm going to go run off the two scoops and sprinkles I had, ok?
Bianca: Thanks for the ice cream, Uncle Jack.
Jack: You're welcome.
Bianca: So, why didn't you want to marry David?
Erica: Bianca, what David and I had together was very, very special. It just didn't work out.
Bianca: Are you sad?
Erica: With my gorgeous daughter here, going to spend the rest of the summer with me? Are you kidding? I've never been happier. So, what do you think about the party?
Bianca: Oh, Mother, please.
Erica: Bianca -- look, we have a lot of decisions we have to make.
Bianca: I would rather go swimming with Lily.
Erica: Ok. Well, you can do that, too. That's not a problem. Please, honey, just give this a chance. I think you might even surprise yourself. I mean, listen to me. We can go to New York and pick out a beautiful dress for you. And we can spend a day of beauty at one of those great spas. We could have manicures and pedicures and facials. Bianca, you're so beautiful, and you have accomplished so much. I'm so proud of you, honey. You deserve a party.
Bianca: Mother, all you talk about now is this stupid party. I mean, who is it for, me or you?
Bianca attends a taping of Hayley and Mateo's show
Leo: Hey, Bianca. You here for the taping?
Bianca: Sure, why not.
Leo: I thought you were spending the day at Enchantment.
Bianca: Yeah. I OD'd On lip gloss.
Leo: Ah, mother/daughter day went bust, huh?
Bianca: She wants to throw me, like, this retro coming-out party.
Leo: Cool. Count me in.
Bianca: You'd go?
Leo: Yeah. I'm a party animal. Mindless small talk's my thing.
Mateo: Ah, Bianca, hi. How would you like to be a panelist today?
Bianca: Uh-uh --
Mateo: Get you into makeup, right?
Bianca: No, no, no, no. Romance and relationships and all that, I know nothing about it.
Leo: Oh, come on, Bianca. It'll be fun. You on camera with me and Becca, telling the home audience if we got what it takes to be America's sweethearts.
Mateo: Yeah, yeah, come on, 30 minutes of your life -- please?
Leo: Or you could always go back to Enchantment where they're having a seminar on sunless tanning products.
Bianca: Oh, uh -- which is my good side?
Mateo: Oh, they're both beautiful. Come on.
Hayley: And I have my panelists up here in these three chairs. Tiffany, Randy, this is Bianca Montgomery. She's our fill-in panelist, last-minute.
Hayley: Bianca used to live in town. She's Erica Kane's daughter.
Tiffany: Oh. Hello, Bianca. I work at the Glamorama.
Bianca: Hi. Nice to meet you.
Tiffany: Do you know Leo Du Pres?
Bianca: Oh, we've met.
Tiffany: Oh. So, anyway, I met Leo a little while ago. Sometimes he lets me do his nails. We have a nice relationship. You know, I think it's going somewhere one of these days. But Leo is so sweet and everything. If he looked at me the way he looks at Becca, well, you'd have to blot me up with a sponge.
Bianca: So, Becca, what do you think holds two people together?
Becca: Well, I think there's a basic attraction. But the most important thing is trust and honesty.
Hayley: Leo, do you agree?
Leo: Mm-hmm. It works for me.
Greenlee: Leo, tell me, honestly, when's the last time you made love to someone?
Leo: I don't think that I've ever made love to someone.
Greenlee: Rephrase -- when's the last time you had sex?
Leo: It's not like I'm keeping track. I thought that this show was about relationships and what makes couples connect.
Greenlee: Sex is a major part of that connection.
Hayley: Let's the keep the topic of focus on -- on romance. Ok? Greenlee, you have any questions for Becca?
Greenlee: Hmm. A hypothetical situation. Imagine you're at a secluded lake, and you and Leo are going at it hot and heavy, and you want to make love, only Leo passes and turns you down. Wouldn't you be totally crushed?
Becca: No. I would think that he respected me and he was waiting until the time was right for both of us.
Greenlee: But to be totally honest, isn't it possible that you just don't turn Leo on?
Becca: What did you tell her? What -- no!
Leo: I didn't tell her anything.
Leo: Becca, come here.
Greenlee: You are so over, Du Pres!
Bianca: Leo, I did not tell Greenlee what --
Leo: No, no, no, I believe you. Greenlee's a natural-born leech.
Mateo: Ok! Do you guys promise to behave?
Leo: Hey, I'm cool. She's the one that's freaking out.
Greenlee: He's not worth my energy.
Hayley: Eli! I want to do the final wrap myself. Everyone else can go. I've had it --
Bianca meets with Becca and they discuss Greenlee's website about Becca; Leo punches a guy insulting Becca; they discuss Greenlee trying to break up Leo and Becca;
Man: Hey. I know you.
Becca: I don't think so.
Man: Yeah, yeah, you're her. Becca, right?
Becca: Hey, is my iced frappuccino and my muffin ready yet?
Bartender: Just one second.
Man: You know, I saw you on the "Wave." You're a real babe, you know that? There is no way I would have backed off like your lame boyfriend did.
Becca: Look, why don't you just leave me alone, ok?
Man: Been left alone too much. That's your problem.
Man: I think you need some special attention.
Becca: I think I need you to get out of my face. Thank you.
Man: I'll get that.
Becca: No. No, really, you don't have to.
Bianca: I'll get that, thanks. Hey, Becca. Do you want to have this here?
Bianca: I'll have one of these and I'll be right back. Come on. Bye-bye now.
Becca: Bye. Thank you so much. I was about to dump my iced frappuccino all over that guy's fat head.
Bianca: And it might have cooled him off. So what am I having for breakfast?
Becca: A lemon poppy-seed muffin and an iced frappuccino.
Bianca: Oh, sounds good. I'll go pay for that.
Becca: Thank you.
Bianca: Excuse me. Hey, Leo, it's Bianca. Can you get to BJ's restaurant right away? Yeah, well, Becca's re and I think you want to be here, too -- that is if you still care about your love life. Sure, I'll try to keep her here, but really, hurry up.
Bianca: That guy's still hanging around.
Becca: Creep. Can't believe this. I don't know if I'm being harassed for "Wave" or the web site these days.
Bianca: Well, either way, you can't let losers like him run your life.
Becca: I don't.
Bianca: Becca, it seemed like it the way you let Greenlee get to you yesterday on the show.
Becca: I really don't want to talk about that. You know, Greenlee has had enough fun at my expense, and I have had enough of Greenlee.
Bianca: Well, she wasn't having any fun when Leo reamed her out on live television.
Becca: He did?
Bianca: Oh, totally.
Becca, Leo really cares about you.
Becca: No, no.
Bianca, I know that you and me are pals and everything, but could you just stay out of it? I just -- I always trust him and I just keep getting burned.
Bianca: Becca, you should have seen it. I mean, Leo really came down on Greenlee yesterday. I'll get you a tape.
Becca: A tape?
Becca: You think I'm an idiot?
Leo: Yeah. If you think that I talked to Greenlee about you, you're a total nut case.
Becca: Oh, that is it. You know, I'm -- I'm out of here. I'm leaving.
Leo: Fine. Go. See you. Go run away, just like you did last night. You're a coward, too.
Becca: Oh, I'm not a coward!
Leo: Then hear me out.
Becca: Hear you out about what? You're just going to twist everything around.
Leo: Twist what around, Becca? Look, what am I going to twist around, the web page? You think that I'm responsible for Scott building it?
Leo: Then what? What am I twisting around?
Becca: I don't know! It's just that every time I get -- I keep getting humiliated, and I am sick and I'm tired of it.
Bianca: Guys, I think I'm just going to head out now.
Becca: No, stay!
Leo: Stay. I need a witness for the defense.
Bianca: Guys, I don't think I should.
Leo: Why would you think that I would ever tell Greenlee about anything that happened at the lake? What could I possibly gain from that?
Becca: I don't know -- maybe amusing conversation, giving Greenlee a good laugh?
Leo: You think that I would laugh at you?
Becca: Look, with you and Greenlee, it's like I'm some big great virgin joke, like I'm this big war game between the two of you. What am I supposed to think?
Man: There's no cameras rolling now. Come on, beat it, loser. Give Becca a shot at a real man.
Leo: How's that for a shot? Huh?
Bianca: You just punched that guy.
Leo: I'm sick of people thinking that they can mess with us.
Bianca: You don't think he's going to call the cops, do you?
Leo: No, he's a chump. I have told you over and over what I think about you, Becca. It's time you start believing me. And you will believe me. You're not leaving this table until you do.
Becca: I don't understand. Why does this keep happening to us? It's like we're in high school again.
Bianca: Well, I don't know about everything else, but it seems to me that this whole thing comes down to Greenlee knowing what happened at the lake, right?
Leo: Right. So how did she find out?
Bianca: Well, she was either spying on you guys or she overheard you telling someone?
Becca: Well, I would not put anything past her.
Leo: Believe me, neither would I.
Becca: So did you -- did you tell anybody about us?
Leo: Well, yeah, I did mention it to Bianca.
Bianca: But we were at home and Greenlee was nowhere around, and I certainly wouldn't have told anybody.
Leo: What about you? Did you tell anybody?
Becca: I sort of mentioned it to Tina.
Becca: No, she would not have said anything to Greenlee. Although --
Leo: Although what?
Becca: Greenlee was around.
Leo: Around as in, what, close enough to overhear your conversation?
Leo: Then that's it. I know how Greenlee's mind works. Once she got a hold of that information, she used it to get on to the panel and use it against you. I know it.
Becca: I don't understand this. I don't believe it. Why does she want to break us up? Why does she think I'm so wrong for you?
Leo: She's jealous?
Becca: Jealous? Why's she jealous of me?
Leo: No clue.
Becca: Really? Is there something going on between you and Greenlee that you're not telling anybody about?
Bianca: Sorry, Leo. You really do just have to give her some time to think things through.
Leo: Yeah, right. Anyway, thanks. She wouldn't even have listened to me if you hadn't been here to help.
Bianca: I just want her to know the truth.
Leo: Well, I didn't want to bring you into the middle of this whole thing.
Bianca: That's ok. Although -- there is something that you could do for me.
Leo: What, buy breakfast?
Bianca: No. Something a little bigger than that. Convince my mom not to throw me this stupid party.
Leo and Bianca discuss Erica; erica thinks Bianca has a crush on Leo; Bianca tells Erica that she considers Leo like a brother and Erica does not understand how that could happen (it's just that Leo is so hot!); Bianca agrees to the party
Bianca: Leo, it's cool. Just forget about it already.
Leo: Forget it? You did me the biggest favor by calling me from BJ's. I don't know if Becca and I would've patched things up if I hadn't gone down there to talk to her. So, like in ancient cultures, you saved my life, I must save yours.
Bianca: So now this is a matter of life and death?
Leo: The life and death of romance. I am hereby nominating myself your sole protector/cupid whenever you need me.
Bianca: Don't hold your breath.
Leo: Don't do that. You're a total babe.
Bianca: You are so full of it.
Leo: What, you don't think so?
Bianca: I'm not in touch with my confident side like my mother is. Speaking of which, if you really want to pay me back for getting you and Becca hooked up again, please stop the madness.
Leo: Aha. The party that your mother wants to throw you.
Bianca: No, no, it's not for me. I'm just the tool.
Leo: Ok. At the risk of sounding like an old guy, your mother adores you she wants you to be the center of attention because you're the center of her universe, that's all.
Bianca: That's not true. I'm the one she uses while she's waiting for the next guy to come in and tell her how perfect she is. It's the only kind of attention that she's ever given me, and it's not the kind I want.
Leo: That's a little harsh, don't you think, Bianca?
Bianca: Whose side are you on?
Leo: Bianca, listen to me. Sometimes giving in is way easier than fighting. You just slop on a fancy dress, shake a few hands, and scarf a few shrimp and come home. She'll consider the evening a huge success. She's happy. And you've basically spent a couple nice hours together, that's all.
Bianca: No. It's not that simple. I don't think I can do it.
Leo: I think you can --
Erica: Well, good morning, my beautiful daughter. And you, too, Leo.
Leo: Erica. Well, that's my cue. I have to go down to WRCW to talk to Becca. Good luck.
Bianca: Traitor. Mom, why are you looking at me like that?
Erica: Because I think you and Leo have a secret.
Erica: Ok. Well, then, tell me, why did he wish you luck?
Bianca: Mother, it did not mean anything when Leo said good luck to me. It was just sort of a private joke, ok?
Erica: You and Leo have been spending a lot of time together lately.
Bianca: He lives here.
Erica: Well, that's not the only reason.
Bianca: What other reason is there?
Erica: Well, Leo is -- he's very intriguing. He's very handsome. And sophisticated.
Erica: You don't think so?
Bianca: Basically I think Leo is just like a big goofball.
Erica: Well, when I was your age, I used to live down the street from a boy who -- well, I guess he was actually a young man because he was in college.
Erica: Well, it was pretty captivating to me at that time. I mean, I had such a crush on him, I can't even begin to tell you --
Bianca: Whoa, whoa -- crush? You think I have a crush on Leo?
Erica: Well, it would be perfectly natural, you know? I just want you to know that.
Bianca: Ok, but I don't have one.
Erica: Bianca, sweetheart --
Bianca: Mother, can we please just talk about something else?
Erica: Well, it's just not unusual to have these feelings, that's all.
Bianca: Mom, Leo and I are like roommates. He's like my older brother.
Erica: All right, look, I'm just saying that --
Bianca: Well, just stop saying it. It's not true.
Erica: Bianca, why are you so angry all the time at me?
Bianca: I'm sorry.
Erica: Your father told me that you had been spending a lot of time alone lately.
Bianca: I like being alone.
Bianca: I don't know. I just do.
Erica: Talk to me, please.
Bianca: I am.
Erica: Bianca, if you don't tell me things, then I can't help you.
Bianca: Help me? How? Do you think I need help, Mom? I get help, remember?
Erica: Do you hear how angry you sound?
Bianca: What I hear is that this is who I am and it's driving you nuts because I'm not like you.
Bianca: I'm never going to be like you, Mother. And the sooner you realize that, the easier this whole trip is going to be.
Erica: Bianca, I don't expect you to be like me. I've always tried to encourage your individuality.
Bianca: Well, you know that's not true.
Erica: Why are you talking to me like this? Why are you saying this to me?
Bianca: You encourage my individuality? Yeah, as long as I do what you want me to do and wear what you want me to wear and talk the way you want me to talk.
Erica: Oh, this is about the party, isn't it? You're still upset about that.
Bianca: Yes, thank you. I just want you to accept the fact that I know what I want. Am I such a criminal if I don't want what you want?
Erica: Of course not, Honey.
Bianca: Then why do you insist on going along with this party when you know it's not what I want?
Erica: Because it might be fun. Because you might actually enjoy yourself.
Bianca: Because you just broke up with your boyfriend and you have nothing better to do.
Erica: Oh. Yeah, my mother told me that there would be days I'd have a daughter and she would talk to me just the way I talked to her when I was angry at her, and, boy, I guess I understand how she feels now.
Bianca: I'm sorry. It was a totally mean thing to say, and I shouldn't have said it.
Erica: No. Look, frankly, I'm really glad you say what you think because I like us to be open. It's the secrets that come back to haunt you. Believe me, I know. And, besides, you're partially right -- I mean about the party. I do enjoy going out and being social.
Bianca: You like the attention, Mom. It makes my skin crawl.
Erica: But the attention is good, Honey. You're a beautiful girl.
Bianca: Mom, could you, like, stop saying that to me?
Bianca: You've been telling me that I was beautiful since I was a little girl.
Erica: Because you are. And now you should rejoice in that, not hide it.
Bianca: But, Mom, don't you get it? I mean, that stuff doesn't matter to me the way it does to you. It's just not me.
Erica: All right, Bianca. All right. That's fair.
Bianca: Thank you.
Erica: But tell me something. Who are you, exactly?
Erica: Oh, listen to me. Can you believe I just asked you to tell me exactly who you are? My goodness, if anybody had asked me that question when I was 16, I --
Bianca: Mom -- I am Erica Kane's daughter.
Erica: You are Bianca Montgomery. And I am proud to say that you are your very own person, through and through.
Bianca: Mom, I'm not my own person in this town.
Erica: Of course you are, honey. You're new.
Bianca: No. Everyone here knows that I'm your kid, and so they expect me to act a certain way because I am. And trust me, I've got big shoes to fill.
Erica: I just want you to fill your own shoes. I just want you to live your own life for your own self and be happy. That's all. That's all I truly wish for you, Sweetheart.
Bianca: Ok. So why don't you call off this party? It's just not me.
Erica: I think it could be you if you would just relax into it. Bianca, will you just hear me out? Please, just this once.
Bianca: Ok. I'm listening.
Erica: Ok. Nothing in the world feels better than owning your own power. Nothing. And one of the times that I el most in touch with that is when I walk into a room full of people and I feel proud of myself. I feel confident. Gives you strength. And I'll tell you something else. I am terrified every time I have to work a room. Every single solitary time.
Bianca: No way.
Erica: Oh, yes. I am just as shy and insecure as you. But I face my fear. And every time I do that, I win. Do you know what I'm saying?
Bianca: Yeah, I guess so. Erica: Do you know what
Erica: If I were to bungee jump off a bridge but it didn't scare me, would that be courageous?
Bianca: Sure. Yeah, I guess so.
Erica: Well, no, not for me. It wouldn't be. Because I'm not afraid of that, so there's no courage there, not for me. I'm afraid of walking into a room full of strangers and acting like I own the place. So when I do that, I'm being brave. I'm taking action in the face of my fear. That's courage.
Bianca: And every time you do that, you win.
Erica: Exactly. I want to give that to you, Sweetheart. I want to give that to you because I love you more than anything else in the whole world. And I want you to know how that feels. I want you to be proud of yourself. I want you to believe in who you are. And I'll tell you something else. You know, if you can't get by this party idea, if you really can't get by it, I'll call the whole thing off. Of course I will. But if you let me do this for you, I swear I will be with you every step of the way and I'll make it a night you'll never forget. It's up to you, Bianca.
Erica: Bianca, maybe giving you this party is a way to kind of make up for all the time I don't get to spend with you.
Bianca: Mom, you don't have to do that.
Erica: I know. I don't get to show you off nearly enough.
Bianca: I don't want to be shown off.
Erica: Maybe it's a way that I can be your mother more. I mean, when you moved in with Travis, I really was so afraid that you and I would never have the kind of relationship that I had with my mother.
Bianca: But, Mom, you and Grandma fought all the time.
Erica: That's true, we did. But we loved each other, Bianca. Your grandmother and I had a bond that could just never be broken no matter how much we fought. And that's what I want for you and me, Honey. That if you need anything -- if you need anything at all, you don't ever have to go anywhere except here, to me.
Bianca: I don't know, Mom. I mean, do you think that -- that if I say yes to this party, suddenly we'll have that?
Erica: Well, I think that it would be a good beginning. Is that a yes?
Bianca: If it's going to make you so happy, then, yeah, I guess.
Erica: Oh! Oh, Honey, it's going to make us both happy, I promise you.
Erica: Well, we have a thousand things to do. A thousand!
Bianca: Wait, wait, Mom. Wait. Stop. I -- I -- since I said yes to having this party, I need to ask you a favor.
Erica: Oh, do you want to have a DJ instead of live music?
Bianca: It's not about that. I really want it to be casual, super easy, no fuss. Just Uncle Jack and Myrtle and Opal, Leo -- that's it.
Erica: And I'm going to call Henri about dresses.
Bianca: Mom, you have about 10,000 dresses.
Erica: Yeah, but you don't. Bianca: I don't want a new dress. I will put something together myself.
Erica: Oh, no, Honey, you don't have to worry about anything. I am going to take care of all the details, from soup to nuts to organzation.
Bianca: Hey, Daddy. I'm good. Everything's cool. She's fine. She's throwing me a party. Yeah. It could be fun, I guess. I miss you, too. A lot. Listen, Daddy, I know that I've been kind of a pain these past few months, and I didn't mean to be. Ok, well, we'll talk about it more when I come home, I guess.
Bianca: I love you, too.
Erica tells Bianca that the party will be an annual event; Myrtle tells Erica to be happy that Bianca has an independent mind; Becca tells Bianca about her date with Leo; erica wants Bianca to miss school in Seattle for the
party; Myrtle counsels Erica on how to treat Bianca; Erica tells Myrtle that she thinks Bianca has a crush on Leo
Erica: Oh, Myrtle, thank you so much for bringing
Myrtle: Oh, you're welcome, darling. Hi, Bianca.
Erica: Bianca. Hi, sweetheart. Look what myrtle did.
She brought all these beautiful dresses over.
Bianca: Thanks, Myrtle, but I really wish you hadn't
gone to so much trouble.
Erica: Oh, but, honey, I want you to have a choice.
Bianca: Well, then, why am I even having this party, mom?
Erica: Bianca, I thought that we had already discussed this. And I promise you, if you show one iota of enthusiasm, then you can pick next year's
Bianca: Next year? Mother, please don't tell me
that this is going to be, like, an annual event.
Erica: Bianca, do you have to fight me every step
of the way?
Myrtle: Erica, Erica, Erica.I remember your mom saying exactly the same thing to you. Mona -- mona was trying to talk you out of wearing your best dress to a hayride. She thought you might ruin it,
but you insisted it, and you wore it, and of course
the dress was ruined.
Erica: But it was worth it because I looked fabulous.
Erica: And I was the envy of every girl there.
Bianca: Ah. So the moral of this story is it's ok to ruin your favorite clothes as long as you make all
the other girls hate you.
Bianca: I'll get that.
Erica: Oh. Thanks for trying, Myrtle.
Myrtle: Oh, darling. Darling, Bianca's got very
strong will, just like her mother. There are bound to be clashes sometimes. Just be -- just be glad that she's growing up with a mind of her own.
Myrtle: Remember, you wanted her to be independent,
Erica: Yeah, well, you'll just have to keep reminding me, Myrtle, ok?
Myrtle: You bet I will.
Becca: Thank you so much for helping me with Leo.
I really, really appreciate it.
Bianca: Was your romantic evening everything that
Becca: Oh, it was even better --
Becca: Than I could have possibly imagined. Come on.
Nothing happened. We just danced -- mostly.
Bianca: Aha. And when you weren't dancing?
Becca: Hey. What's going on here?
Bianca: It's a costume party. My mother is trying to dress me up as the perfect daughter.
Erica: Becca. Oh, you're just in time. You can help Bianca pick out her dress for her party.
Becca: Party? You didn't tell me!
Bianca: Well, I was --
Erica: You didn't tell her? I'm sure that you're going to be on the invitation list.
Bianca: She is, she is.
Erica: Of course.
Bianca: You're on the invitation list. I was going to tell you as soon as I was sure that it was really
going to happen.
Erica: Well, of course it's going to happen, honey.
I told you I'd make all the arrangements.
Becca: Well, gosh, these dresses are gorgeous. It's going to be a big occasion, huh?
Erica: Oh, it's going to be sensational.
Becca: Wow. So what's the occasion? Is it your birthday?
Erica: No, no. It's not Bianca's birthday, but it is certainly a very special occasion because any time my daughter is home, then that is occasion enough
for me to give her a party. Honey, what do you think about this one? I think it would look absolutely
Bianca: I'm not into the teeny bopper look, mom.
Myrtle: Bianca, Bianca, well, what about -- what about this one, huh?
Bianca: It's -- it's just not me. I mean, this is me.
Erica: Yes, but, honey, you can't wear jeans. So isn't there one dress here that you think is gorgeous?
Bianca: Nothing here. But there was something that
I was looking at before. I really like this dress.
Erica: Oh. I don't blame you. I mean, it's absolutely stunning. It's -- I think it's just -- isn't it a little too sophisticated? Sweetheart, it really looks more like something I would wear.
Bianca: You're right. Of course. I mean, I would
just look stupid in a dress like that.
Erica: Honey, of course you wouldn't look stupid in that dress or any dress. I just thought that that one was a little too mature for a girl your age.
Becca: Hey, what about this one? This one looks just like the one in the magazine, has the same cut. What do you think?
Bianca: It's ok.
Erica: Hello? Yes, yes, this is Miss Kane speaking.
What? Oh, no, that's terrible. Are you sure? Well --
then just book me in the earliest available date
you have. Oh, all right. I mean, I'll try and work
Myrtle: What's wrong?
Erica: Oh. The Valley Inn is booked until after Labor day.
Bianca: Oh, well, I guess we didn't give them enough
notice. It's ok.
Erica: No. I had to book it for the second
week in September.
Bianca: Hello. I'll be in seattle by then.
Erica: Not necessarily.
Bianca: Mom, I have school.
Erica: I know, but the first week of school -- that's all about locker combinations and homeroom assignments, honey. You won't be missing anything
Bianca: I can't believe you actually expect me to miss school for a party!
Erica: Well, honey, you're the guest of honor and --
and, besides, I mean, that's the only time I can get
the Valley Inn.
Bianca: Mom, I don't even want this party, and I don't want to miss school. I promised dad that I would be home by Labor day. I don't want him to think that i'm avoiding him or something.
Erica: Oh, no, honey. Of course not. I will call Travis. I'll explain everything to him.
Bianca: Right, right. You explain to him why I'm
missing school so that you can dress me up and parade me around like a freak!
Becca: Ahem. Oh -- thirsty. I am so thirsty. Do you have a soda or something?
Erica: Yes. I have soda in the refrigerator.
Becca: Ok, great.
Becca: Bianca, do you want to get a soda with me?
Erica: Oh, myrtle. What is happening here? Why is Bianca being like this?
Myrtle: Do you really want my two cents' worth?
Myrtle: Well, don't force her to choose between
you and Travis.
Erica: Myrtle, how could I? I mean, Travis has her
for 11 months a year. All I'm asking for is one extra week.
Myrtle: For the party?
Erica: Yes. It's very important to me.
Myrtle: Oh, yes, I got that. But do you mind explaining why?
Myrtle: I mean, we all know that you've broken up with D avid Hayward, and, well, a party would be a nice distraction.
Erica: No. It most certainly would not, Myrtle. I am trying to build my daughter's self-esteem. I mean, she's handling the eating disorder beautifully, but still there's something -- something that's making
her obviously withdraw. Oh, myrtle, I just want my daughter to be a normal, happy teenager.
Myrtle: Darling, darling, don't -- don't you remember? I mean, being a girl teenager means being awkward sometimes. You know, just getting a pimple
is a reason for deep despair.
Erica: No, I was never awkward.
Myrtle: No, you weren'T. That's -- you are something different. You always were. You always will be. But, darling, you can't ask Bianca to be exactly the way
you are. That girl has got to be allowed to be her own person. You're her mother. Now, all you can do is just release her to the world, then sit back and wait to be surprised.
Erica: Oh. Where's Bianca?
Becca: Um -- she's out by the pool.
Erica: Oh, well -- I'll go see if she'll talk to me.
Becca: Mrs. Fargate? Look, I know that these dresses
are for Bianca, but I'm entering this dance contest, and this one is just absolutely perfect. Do you think i could try it on?
Myrtle: Help yourself. My sewing's in the car, and I'll just go and get the kit now.
Leo: Ahem. Ahem. Well, what have we here?
Becca: Trying on dresses.
Becca: Mrs. Fargate brought these over for Bianca,
but I thought this would be perfect for the dance contest.
Leo: Hi, Erica.
Erica: Becca, why don't you go into Bianca's room
and try your dress on?
Becca: Oh, right.
Myrtle: Oh. Now, that's what we need -- a man's opinion.
Becca: Um -- uh -- yeah. Bianca, will you come with me?
Leo: Uh -- ahem -- I'll be in the kitchen.
Erica: Oh, Myrtle. I hope Bianca didn't get her feelings hurt. Did you see the way she was
looking at Leo and Becca?
Myrtle: Do you think Bianca's got a crush on Leo?
Erica: Yes, I do. Oh, Myrtle, you're right. My little girl is growing up.
Bianca goes to Becca's dance contest; Erica wants to talk party with Bianca; Erica wants to hold the party at Wildwind; Erica finds out Edmund and Alex are engaged; Alex and Bianca bond over horses
Erica: Bianca, hi. Finally. I've been looking all over for you.
Bianca: I left a note, mom.
Tiffany: Did you come to watch the dance contest,
Erica: Oh -- no. Oh, no. We have so much to do.
Bianca: Mom, I promised Becca and Leo that I'd be here to cheer them on. I can't just leave.
Erica: Oh, honey, that's very, very sweet that
you want to watch Leo dance -- and Becca. But, honey, we have got to get started or this party thing is never going to happen.
Bianca: Mom, they're counting on me.
Erica: You know something, sweetheart? I don't think they're even going to notice that you're gone.
And, besides, I've had a brainstorm. You see, I have figured out how to have this party sooner than we thought.
Bianca: Mom, can't this party stuff just wait?
Erica: Can you please meet me halfway, Bianca? I mean, you're the one who wants to get back to your father in time for school, right? I have figured out a way to do that. So come with me now, and I promise I'll get you back before this dance contest even
Bianca: Ok, all right. Tiffany, can you just tell them that I will be right back?
Tiffany: Yeah, sure.
Becca: Bianca looks upset. Gosh, it must be so hard to be the daughter of a famous mother.
Leo: Well, better a famous mother than a psycho one.
Becca: You may be Vanessa's son, but you're nothing like her. I have faith in you, Leo. Oh!
Leo: You do? Nobody's ever had faith in me before.
Becca: Maybe you just never gave anybody a chance.
Leo: And how do I show my gratitude? I let you convince me to look totally uncool in public. That's a definite first. Somebody very special can only do that, Becca.
Edmund: Bianca? Oh, my god. Look at you. Look at you. Hi.
Edmund: What brings you two gorgeous creatures to my door?
Erica: Edmund, I have an enormous favor to ask you.
Edmund: Ask away.
Erica: May I hold Bianca's welcome home gala in
the ballroom? I'd be indebted to you.
Edmund: Well, gee, let me think. Ok, fine. Absolutely. But first, just as a courtesy, we should ask the new Mistress of Wildwind.
Edmund: Well, as the former chatelaine, maybe you can give her some decorating tips, you know.
Erica: Edmund, what are you saying?
Erica: Edmund, are you saying that you're engaged?
Bbianca: Alex, your ring is beautiful.
Alex: Thank you. Thank you so much. I've wanted to meet you for such a long time. Dimitri always thought that we would be very good friends. And, of course, yes, I would love to host your party.
Erica: Oh, you wouldn't be hosting it. No, you'd have nothing to do with it.
Alex: No, no, it wouldn't be any trouble at all. Dimitri also told me that you're quite an equestrian.
Erica: Yes, that's why he bequeathed Maximillian
Alex: Yeah. Thank you for bringing that up. Bianca, obviously I have wanted to apologize to you about this personally -- losing Maximillian. I know you loved him, and I'm very sorry.
Bianca: It was an accident. I understand.
Alex: It was an accident, but I can't take away what happened. You know, we have some other wonderful horses here. I'd like you to feel that you could come ride whenever you wanted to.
Bianca: That would be awesome. I would really love to.
Alex: Shall I take her down to see Scorpio? Yeah, I bought this horse for Edmund earlier this year. He's very young.
He's a baby. Willful. But he has a good heart, and he jumps like a dream. You'll love --
Erica: Isn't he the horse that's barely broken? Well?
Bianca: Mom, when a horse is trained, it's broke, not broken.
Erica: I see. Well, please, don't be long because I promised you I would get you back to S.O.S. Before
that dance contest --
Alex: We won't be long. Come on. Come and see him. He's sort of almost as big as Maximillian --
Edmund: I hope Bianca takes up Alex's invitation and rides
whenever she feels like it.
Erica: Well, that's very kind of you, Edmund, but as I said, Bianca's schedule is so full.
Edmund: Isn't she something?
Edmund: Alex, you know -- Alex. She has the ability to just
charm anybody. She's -- I think they're going to be buddies, you know that? How long is she going to be
here? A while?
Erica: Well, Bianca's not going to be here nearly as long
as I would like her to, and I don't think she'll be here
long enough to fall under Alex's spell, like the rest of Pine Valley.
Edmund: What's wrong?
Erica: Oh, Edmund, you are making a terrible mistake.
Alex: Good to go, I'm sure.
Bianca: Mom --
Bianca: You've got to see Scorpio. He's absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to start riding him. And Alex said that there might be a hunt coming up.
Erica: A hunt?
Bianca: Mom, don't worry. I mean, I'll be with Alex. She's even done steeplechase. Mom, can I ride him tomorrow?
Erica: Oh, honey, I don't see how. I mean, we talked about this. You have such a full schedule. In fact, your schedule's so full, sweetheart, I don't know how you're really going to ride at all. I'm sorry. Anyhow, listen, when I thought of holding Bianca's welcome home party here at wildwind, I had no idea that you would be in the midst of planning your own nuptials. And even though I'm quite sure that your wedding is going to be simple and small, I know that having this party for Bianca here would be too much of an imposition.
Edmund: No, really. No imposition at all.
Erica: Well, thank you, Edmund. That's so kind of you. But don't worry. I mean, I'll find another place. Come on, sweetheart, let's go. Bye.
Bianca: See you later.
Alex: Bye, Bianca. What just happened?
Edmund: Erica being Erica.
Alex: Mm-hmm? That's it?
Edmund: That's it.
Alex: Oh. Ok.
Edmund: Speaking of ok, are you going to be ok if I go
Alex: Yeah, I'll be fine -- if you let me do this.
Becca tests Leo with Greenlee
Bianca: Becca, Tiffany and I saw Greenlee glomming onto Leo. What's up with that?
Becca: I don't know. What's always up with Greenlee?
Bianca: Well, I mean, are you guys going to pull out of the dance contest or something?
Becca: No. No. We're not at all.
Bianca: Well, I mean, do you want me to go and get Leo away from her? I mean ??
Becca: No. No, no, no. I ?? I want to see how he handles her.
Bianca: Are you and Leo done celebrating your win already? Where's he going?
Becca: To Greenlee.
Bianca tells Becca she does not want the party; Becca wonders why Leo is not returning her calls; Bianca chooses the the hors d'oeuvres for the party
Bianca: I can't believe you actually expect me to miss school for a party.
Erica: Well, honey, you're the guest of honor. And besides, I mean, that's the only time I can get The Valley Inn.
Bianca: Mom, I don't even want this party, and I don't want to miss school. I promised Dad that I would be home by Labor Day. I don't want him to think that I'm avoiding him or something.
Erica: Oh, no, honey, of course not. I will call Travis. I'll explain everything to him.
[End of flashback]
Bianca: Um -- go for it.
Becca: Ok. Well, why don't you help me? I don't know which ones to get.
Bianca: I -- I don't care, really.
Maitre d': We also have to make a decision about hors d'oeuvres.
Becca: Oh, you are definitely going to have to help me with that. I don't know anything out hors d'oeuvres.
Bianca: Do you mind if we do this later?
Maitre d': Oh, no, of course not, Miss Montgomery. Just give me a call whenever you're ready.
Becca: Bianca? Why are you being so indifferent about all this?
Bianca: How many different ways are there of saying "I don't want this party"?
Becca: Well, it looks like you're going to have this party no matter what. So why don't we make the best of it? I mean, it's not every day that a superstar mom says, "hey, you can have whatever you want." I mean, think of all the other guests. Oh. That's kind of the point, isn't it?
Bianca: Look, I mean, Becca, honestly, would you ever trade moms with me for more than 10 minutes?
Becca: No. I wouldn't. You know what? I don't even know what I'm saying. I should just shut up.
Bianca: Look, I don't blame my mother. She is who she is, right? But did you know that every month she gets letters from girls all over the world who want her to adopt them, to give them advice?
Becca: Well -- but, I mean, that's so different, you know?
Bianca: No, no. Becca, I've read some of these letters, and these girls, they just seem so put together. They're so perfect.
Becca: Your mom thinks that you're perfect. I love the way that she always, you know, talks about you in her interviews. She is so proud of you.
Bianca: Yeah, I guess the real question is, why? Can we not talk about this right now?
Bianca: So, are you and Leo friends again?
Becca: Um -- you know, I don't know. I doubt it.
Bianca: I can't believe he hasn't called you since last night.
Becca: Oh, he's called. He's left a few messages with Dixie. I just, you know -- oh -- haven't gotten around to answering them.
Bianca: Now who's being indifferent?
Becca: I should deal with this.
Bianca: Here you are.
Becca: Thank you.
Bianca: And I will give you some privacy, too. I'll go talk to the man about hors d'oeuvres.
Becca: Wait, wait, wait. The machine is on at your mom's house. There's no way that Leo would be out this early. Well, he gave me his cell number. I guess I could call that. But why would I need to call his cell number? I mean, there's plenty of phone lines at your mom's -- house. Oh. Leo's not at your mom's house, is he? Leo was out all night, wasn't he?
Becca: Leo was with Greenlee, wasn't he?
Bianca: We don't know that.
Becca: Yes, we do. He left me at S.O.S. to go find her.
Bianca: Becca, you have to hear Leo out on this one. I mean, I'm sure that he had good reasons.
Becca: Oh, yeah. God -- he's always got a good reason. He's always got some song and dance to tell me. You know what? This time he can tell his story walking.
Bianca: I feel so terrible. I do not want to be responsible for breaking you guys up.
Becca: No. You didn't break us up. We were -- we were never together. And I thank God for that. Just think of all the thoughts and the feelings that I've had for that guy, and -- they were just fantasies.
Bianca: Becca, don't write Leo off so fast. He needs someone like you in his life.
Becca: Yeah, well, tell him to get a head shrinker, preferably one that specializes in arrested development.
Bianca: You know, whatever you say, I still think that you have feelings for Leo, and I know how much he cares about you. I've seen the way he looks at you.
Becca: Well, if that's any indication, then he has feelings for Greenlee, too. I've seen the way he looks at her, and I guess I just haven't wanted to admit it until now.
Bianca: You mean, he cares for both of you?
Becca: I don't know. Maybe. I was just -- just so sure he'd prefer me.
Bianca: I bet he will.
Becca: Yeah? Well, too bad, because I'm not in the game any longer, you know? So he better go tell Greenlee how he feels about her before he loses her, too.
Bianca: Finally, all the hors d'oeuvres have been chosen.
Becca: I hope it wasn't too much trouble for you.
Bianca: This party is going to happen whether my mother has to drag me here in a sack. So I might as well make the best of it.
Becca: Well, I have a good idea. How about you and I, we just talk to each other all night and we don't talk to anyone else and act really stuck-up?
Bianca: No! No, Becca. I want you to have fun, too. But --
Becca: But what?
Bianca: I'm really sorry. I hope you don't mind, but I have to invite Leo.
Becca: No -- God. Invite him. I don't care. You know what? I'm going to have a good time at this party whether he likes it or not, and so are you. Trust me.
Bianca: Oh, no.
Bianca: I was being bratty, and I told the man no caviar. My mother is going to flip.
Becca: Well, you better go find that man and tell him you want buckets of it!
Bianca: Excuse me.
Leo: Bianca. Have you seen my mother?
Bianca: No, haven't, but there is someone here who needs your attention.
Leo: Thank you. Hey. I've been calling you since 7:00 This morning. Ever since I left last night, it's been completely insane. I would have much preferred to be with you.
Becca: Whoa, whoa, Leo. Just take a breath. You know? I don't have time to hear any lame excuses. I'm going to be late for work.
Leo: Well, when will you have time to hear my lame excuses?
Becca: I think pretty much never.
Leo: Whoa, Becca -- please don't go.
Leo tries apologizes to Becca; Becca tells him that Bianca told her that he did not come home the night before
Leo: Becca, please, give me a minute. I can explain to you about last night.
Becca: What's there to explain? You had to run a quickie errand for Erica.
Leo: I lied.
Becca: About the quickie or the errand?
Leo: I tried to get back to the club, ok?
Becca: But you were obviously having too much fun somewhere else.
Leo: No, I was having a blast with you. I wanted to spend the rest of the night with you.
Becca: Well, you can't be in two places at once, Leo.
Leo: Becca, let me make it up to you. Come on, we'll do something fun and romantic, anything you want. Anything goes. Let's just sit down and talk about it.
Becca: Leo, just tell me. Where did you spend the night last night? And before you incriminate yourself, Bianca told me that you didn't make it back to Erica's.
Leo: I was involved in a crisis situation.
ecca: You had to tend to a sick friend?
Leo: The details would bore you. What matters is I wanted to get back to the S.O.S., But I had a friend that was in deep trouble.
Becca: And that friend that was in deep trouble just so happened to be Greenlee Smythe. Am I right?
