SYNOPSIS

Lena and Michael conspire; Binks is dressed to kill (biiiig closeup on the cleavage); Boyd warns her about Lena but Binks refuses to be put off -- "Can I tell you the last time a woman has pursued me like this? Never!"; Lena arrives at Myrtle's and tells Binks she looks gorgeous; Binks gushes right back at her; Binks remembers a phone call she needed to make for work and takes Lena upstairs to use the phone in her room (they don't spend enough time up there to do anything interesting); now Myrtle's suspicious so she decides to tag along with "the girls" who don't have the heart to tell her to buzz off.

From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/library/recaps/2003/bl20030415.htm

Lena lights candles as Michael pours champagne for a cozy celebration, and wonders if this isn't a bit premature? Cambias asks if she hasn't made any progress with Boyd Larraby, and Lena repeats that she's hit a wall with him - he's wary of her. She assures him that she hasn't given herself away, and that her position with Enchantment is secure, but Boyd's just shut down. She agrees that she's concentrating on Bianca Montgomery, for now, and wonders what happened to Plan "A" - getting the formula through Kendall? Michael admits that Kendall's performance and Boyd's reaction continue to be disappointing. Lena wonders if the lawsuit they've engineered against Fusion wasn't enough to set a fire under Kendall? Michael says apparently not, although Ms. Gertie Stark is playing her part to put the screws to Fusion, she's been slow to move. Lena notes that this formula could save her company, and Michael admits Kendall is a little more hampered by integrity than he'd like. Ms. Kondera sighs that this would have been so much easier if Boyd had written down the formula. Michael raises his glass in a toast as he tells her not to worry, "Kendall will do whatever or whomever I want." Lena and Michael cuddle and kiss as she agrees the fact that Kendall's madly in love with him does strengthen his position, but she's not stupid, "When you suggest that she seduce Boyd…." Michael interrupts to say that's a crass and disgusting idea! He will never suggest that the woman he loves go to bed with another man, but he will create a situation, a threat to their relationship that will make her work hard at getting Boyd's secret formula - she'll think it's her idea! Lena chuckles as she says he is the best at being bad! She only hopes he's not overestimating Kendall's affection for him. Michael tells her that Erica's rejection of Kendall has made her wonderfully vulnerable; his darling Kendall is ruled by her heart, "Pulling her strings couldn't be any easier." He asks Lena if she'd like to listen in, but she reminds him that she has her own project. Michael kisses her goodbye, and asks her to stop by later, "I do miss our pillow talk." Lena wonders if he won't have his hands full with Kendall? He playfully smacks her on the backside as he agrees, "Probably, but waiting makes it better." Lena leaves him to work his magic...

Bianca comes downstairs, looking beautiful for her date. Myrtle beams as she tells her she looks fine, and asks, "Who's the lucky girl, Lena?" Boyd comes in and agrees with Myrtle that Bianca looks gorgeous, "But if all this is for Lena, you know you're wasting your time, right?" Bianca sighs as she tells her friend that he's not going to ruin this for her, but Boyd insists something's not right about this whole thing, including Lena. Ms. Montgomery asks if that's because he's not the one going on a date with her? Myrtle figures out that's their bet was about, and Bianca tells her that now Boyd doesn't want to pay up! He insists that has nothing to do with it, so Bianca suggests that it's jealousy, plain and simple. Myrtle thinks his male ego has been hit, but Boyd insists that Lena is not what she seems; he's only telling Bianca this because he cares about her. Binks counters that he's way too serious, "Lena and I are just getting to know each other. No harm in that, right?" Boyd maintains there is if she's counting on it leading to something more; he just doesn't want her investing in some romance that's not going to lead to anything, and he just can't shake this feeling. "Try!" she suggests. Boyd repeats that he only wants what's best for her, a woman that wants what she wants, who deserves her. "Boyd, can I tell you the last time a woman has pursued me like this?" she asks, "Never! So please just let me enjoy it, if only for one night." Boyd wonders, "Even if it means you might wind up getting hurt?" Bianca agrees yeah, even then, "Lena asked me out tonight. I feel more alive than I have in centuries. We're going to go out, we're going to have a marvelous time, and you're still going to owe me dinner. Live with it!" Lena arrives, and tells Bianca she looks breathtaking. Bianca returns the compliment, and Myrtle agrees they look like a pair of knockouts! When Bianca remembers a call she was supposed to make this afternoon to Hong Kong, Lena points out that it's not too late. Bianca agrees, and suggests they use the phone in her room. Both Myrtle and Boyd try to discourage that, to no avail.

When they go upstairs, Myrtle asks, "Boyd, give it to me straight - no pun intended - do you think Bianca is heading for trouble with Lena?" Boyd just says Lena's been a busy girl, playing both sides of the street, if she knows what he means. Mrs. Fargate again asks if that's what their bet was about, and is shocked when Boyd tells her that Lena planted a major kiss on him and she's made some very direct passes more than once. "She kissed you, she's taking Bianca out?" she exclaims. "Exactly," he tells her. Myrtle scowls as she says she doesn't know what game that girl is playing, but she doesn't like it! She asks what he thinks Lena is really up to, and Boyd admits he doesn't know, although it might be some kind of power thing over men and women. Myrtle proclaims that she's not going to get her claws into Bianca, but Boyd doesn't think it's a good idea to gang up on her right now, as she's obviously mad at him. Myrtle argues that she'd rather have that child mad at her than hurt! Boyd thinks that's the whole point; Bianca's not a child, and if they don't trust her to make adult choices…. Myrtle gets it, that she'll go after Lena with a vengeance, and Boyd agrees. Bianca and Lena come downstairs after Bianca successfully completed her call, and she notes that their sendoff committee is still here. Myrtle asks where the girls are off to, and Bianca tells her they're going to S.O.S. She adds that it's open-mike night, but they have dancing and carousing before the amateurs take over. When Lena says it sounds great, Myrtle agrees. She surprises everyone when she tells them, "Listen, count me in, girls. I feel like kicking up my heels tonight!" Myrtle makes a call, and excitedly tells Bianca and Lena that Clara Lee is going to try to join them! Bianca tries in vain to put a stop to this, but Myrtle just rattles on about Clara, and how they could wow the crowd with a couple of their old numbers - what a good idea! "This should be a date to remember," Lena notes, and Myrtle tells Boyd he's going to miss so much fun! Larraby tells her to go, and she can tell him all about it when she gets back. Myrtle agrees they'll tell him over breakfast, and he shouldn't wait up for them! When Lena and Bianca go out to the car, Myrtle tells Boyd, "Lena is not going to vamp her when I'm around!"

Previously on All My Children
Boyd was suspicious that Lena was being a player.
Lena WAS being a player by sleeping with The *sshat while he does the same with Kendall.
Aidan broke up a fight between Jack and Chris whereupon the latter laid down a threat.

Lena informs The *sshat that she can no longer make any progress with Boyd. He’s become wary of her and has shut down. *sshat asks if she’s concentrating her efforts on Bianca now. Lena gives a vague answer and turns the inquiry around as she asks about HIS plan. He says the “Kendall seduces Boyd” progress is minimal at best even WITH the lawsuit. The *sshat is optimistic that he can get Kendall to do whatever or whomever he wants...

Bianca descends her stairs dressed to kill. She’s wearing a black… I think it’s a sarong— with black jeans and I think she cut her hair again, although I could be mistaken. There’s an obscenely close shot of the butterfly pendant necklace nestled in her cleavage and I briefly wonder “what the f*** was THAT for?” before it occurs to me that it was probably for Shop the Soaps. Myrtle wows at Binky’s appearance. Boyd arrives and does the same. He rains on her parade by telling her that if the dressing up is all for Lena then she’s wasting her time...

Wow, Lena and The *sshat are big with the manipulation of Kendall but they really seem to think highly of her intelligence. Lena remarks that Kendall isn’t stupid enough to be roped into sleeping with another guy and *sshat’s all, “Would I court an idiot?” I, personally, wonder a lot lately about Kendall’s IQ points. They have severely dropped in recent times. *sshat says that he’s not going to ask Kendall to sleep with another man. Lena wonders how he’s going to set it up then. He responds that he’s going to create a situation that threatens their relationship which will get Kendall to seduce Boyd of her own accord. He also remarks about how Kendall is easily manipulated emotionally because her dealings with Erica left her vulnerable and needy. Yeah, see? I knew that’s why *sshat targeted her.

Lena leaves and The *sshat nervously laughs to himself as he places a phone call to Fusion. Kendall answers. *sshat declares in a somber tone that something serious is up.

Bianca refuses to let Boyd be a killjoy. He’s still all Warny McWarner-pants. “Boyd,” begins Bianca. “Can I tell you the last time a woman has pursued me like this? Never!” So sad for her. And so incredibly unlikely. With the number of guys that throw themselves at Kendall, Bianca should have at least an equal amount of women doing the same to her. Maybe even more since Bianca is rich while Kendall isn’t. Lena arrives and gushes to Bianca about how gorgeous she looks...

Bianca drools right back at Lena over HER appearance. Lena’s casual mention of work prompts Bianca to remember a vital call to Hong Kong that she forgot to make. She asks Lena to accompany her to her room while she places it. Boyd gets in a snit about there being a phone right in the room they’re standing in. Myrtle asks Lena to keep her company while Bianca’s on the phone. Binks says that she may need Lena’s help and they ascend the stairs. Myrtle wants Boyd to give it to her straight about Lena. She’s suspicious about Lena now...

Myrtle is getting upset at the thought of Bianca being toyed with. I’m sure Bianca has a completely different reaction to that thought. Boyd tells Myrtle that they can’t start ganging up on Binks because she’ll most likely end up doing the opposite of what they want just to spite them.

Bianca and Lena descend the stairs, successful from their phone call. I’d say they had a sexual encounter except that was too quick. Myrtle asks where the girls are headed and they tell her about their impending night of carousing at SOS. Myrtle wants to be counted in. “I feel like kicking up my heels tonight!” she crows. Oh lord...

Myrtle gets off the phone and is exuberant that her friend Clara Lee will be joining their impromptu group. I’m sure Lena and Bianca will love her. Nobody doesn’t like Clara Lee! Lena and Bianca don’t have the heart to turn Myrtle down even though she’s horning in on their action. Myrtle asks if the two girls will come up with her at the open mic. Lena and Bianca do this hilarious open-mouthed stare at each other before they quickly shake their heads. Bianca goes, “No, I don’t think so.” Boyd wishes them all a good time and says for them to tell him all about it in the morning. “Oh, don’t worry. We will,” hisses Bianca. Hee. She knows he’s responsible for Myrtle tagging along.

PARODY

Lena parts are indicated in red for those who only want a Lena fix

Jack, who now seems to be living at the gym, talked to Aidan.
Aidan: Ow did yew know Oi was iding behind the door?
Jack: It's a glass door.
Aidan: Blimey! Oi didn't notice that. So whot dew yew think about Stamp and the it man?
Jack: I think Stamp could be dangerous. I can take care of myself but I'm worried about Erica.
Aidan: Don't worry. Oi'll wotch out for er. Oi'll tike gewd care of er just loik Oi tewk care of me mites down in the Bahamas.
Erica: I'd better get a team of designers working on my shroud.
Aidan: Oi ope e doesn't kill yew. Yew couldn't prosecewt im for murder if yew're dead.
Jack: Actually in Pine Valley it wouldn't be that unusual. So tell me, how's Maria?
Aidan: She's going back to medical school. Oi'm appy for er but Oi'm afride she moit get er memory back and leave me.
Jack: I don't blame you. Sometimes when you get dumped by the love of your life you end up on the back burner.
Brooke: Someone call my name?

Maria went to see David.
Maria: You have to help me.
avid: See what you have to look forward to when you grow into your powers Leora? They deny you in public but sneak off to ask for your help when no one is looking.
aria: Do you think I'm getting my memory back? Because I don't want to remember if it ruins the wonderful life I have now. What if I feel like I have to move out of my lovely room at the Pine Cone and back into a luxurious mansion?
avid: I'd say the damage to your brain is still complete.
aria: You don't know what it's like to be one person, then feel like you could wake up as someone completely different.
David: Actually I do. I used to be a sexy bad boy. Now all I do is change diapers.

Bianca got ready for her date with Lena.
Myrtle: You look beautiful.
Boyd: I hope you're not dressing up for Lena. She's not what the woman you think she is.
Bianca: You're not going to discourage me.
Boyd: I just don't want you to have your heart broken by an unscrupulous lover who'll treat you badly and leave you sobbing and feeling like your life has ended.
Bianca: Don't you get it Boyd. That's just what I want - to be like any other soap opera heroine.
Lena: You look lovely Bianca. I can't wait until we're alone together.
Myrtle: You'll just have to wait ducky. I'm coming along with you.
Bianca: I should have known I wouldn't get a real date. ABC strikes again.

Kenny gave the Fusion girls the bad news.
Kenny: This law suit will cost you a lot of money and I can't work for free anymore.
Liza: I'll pay your salary and pay for a settlement for the lawsuit too.
Greenlee: That's wonderful Liza. How could we ever repay you?
Liza: I want to be a Fusion Babe too. Let me hang out with you.
Simone: Can you giggle and squeal? Are you obsessed with having a man in your life? Does your IQ equal your dress size?
Liza: No but I'm rich. Please let me be a Fusion girl. I want Colby to work here someday.
Mia: Do you think we'll still be on the air when Colby is an adult at the rate we're going?
Liza: Only if she's SORAS'D pretty quickly.

Kendall went over to see Michael.
Michael: Oh Kendall, I don't know how to break this to you. I want to stay here in Pine Valley but if Fusion doesn't get Boyd's formula then I'll have to leave.
Kendall: That doesn't make any sense. What does one thing have to do with the other?
Michael: My father won't give me any money if I fail at this.
Kendall: That's OK. I'll support you.
Michael: You don't understand. I need the money to pay for my old sick father's operation. It's his only hope.
Kendall: But he's the one with the money.
Michael: Work with me here Kendall. I may have to leave town without you, I'm disparate to please my father, he's old and sick - how many more sob story cliches do you need to hear? Oh, if only there was some way you could get Boyd's formula then we could be happy. What could you do to get that formula? If I had a secret formula and you had sex with me I'd give it to you. Now what could you do to get the formula from Boyd?
Kendall: Are you saying I should have sex with Boyd to get the formula?
Michael: Finally! - er - I mean, well, only if you insist.

[Michael's condo]
Lena: This is a little premature, isn't it?
[lights a pair of candles while Michael pours some champagne]
Michael: Oh, why premature? Haven't you made any progress with Mr. Boyd Larraby?
Lena: Like I said, [amc0415b-inc2 starts] when it comes to Boyd, I've hit the wall. He's wary of me.
[amc030415b-inc1 ends]
Michael: If you've given yourself away --
Lena: Of course not. My position at Enchantment is secure but Boyd's just shut down.
Michael: So you're concentrating on Bianca Montgomery, right?
Lena: [evasively] For now. [picks up one of the glasses and walks toward the sitting area of the living room] Anyway, what happened to Plan A, getting to the formula through Kendall?
Michael: Well, [hands Lena one of the lit candles, which she sets down on an endtable; the other he places on a table behind the sofa] Kendall's performance and Boyd's reaction continue to be disappointing.
Lena: So she hasn't seduced him?
Michael: Not yet.
[brushes away some dust from the sofa back]
Lena: Well, what about the lawsuit you engineered against Fusion, hasn't that set enough of a fire under her?
[Michael moves closer to Lena]
Michael: Well, you'd think it would, but --
Lena: What about the other woman, is she playing her part?
Michael: Gertie Stark continues to put the screws to Fusion, but Kendall's slow to move.
Lena: This formula could save her company.
[sits down on sofa; Michael sits on the coffee table facing her]
Michael: Well, unfortunately, Kendall's a little more hampered by integrity than I'd like.
Lena: This would all be so much easier if only Boyd had written down the formula.
Michael: Well, don't worry. Kendall will do whatever, or whomever, I want.

***** (clip c) [Bianca gets ready for Lena's date (Lena mention)]

[amc030415c starts]
[Myrtle's]
[Binks comes down the stairs wearing slightly faded very form-fitting black lowrider jeans and a sleeveless deep-V'd black wraparound top that shows a little hint of belly. She checks herself out in a mirror by the entrance; the camera lingers on a shot of her... butterfly necklace -- yeah, that's it. Myrtle enters behind her]
Myrtle: Oh my, my, my. [walks toward Binks] You do look fine. Who's the lucky girl, Lena?
Bianca: Yes, Lena. Oh, what do you think, with [grasps necklace], or without
[holds necklace away from her neck]?
Myrtle: Well, you don't really need jewelry to sparkle, but... with.
Bianca: Oh, excellent. Would you mind checking the clasp for me?
[holds her hair out of the way and turns around]
Myrtle: My pleasure. [fiddles with clasp]
Bianca: Thank you.
[Boyd enters. Despite the black leather jacket and dark olive shirt, he still looks sooooo gay]
Boyd: Wow, look at you!
Myrtle: Doesn't she look sharp?
Boyd: Gorgeous. But, ah, if this is all for Lena, you know you're wasting your time, right?

***** (clip d) [Lena and Michael discuss Kendall some more]

[amc030415d starts]
[Michael's condo]
Lena: [kisses Michael as they snuggle on the sofa] Well, the fact that [amc030415d-inc starts] Kendall's madly in love with you does strengthen your position, but... [kisses Michael] she's not stupid.
Michael: Mm. Would I court an idiot?
Lena: ["walks" her fingers over the front of Michael's shirt while he strokes her back] Yes, but when you suggested she seduce Boyd--
Michael: What a crass and disgusting idea!
Lena: Oh, forgive me, I'm not the subtle manipulator [playfully flicks the tip of Michael's nose with her finger] that you are.
Michael: I would never suggest that the woman I love go to bed with another man.
Lena: [sits up] Then how exactly are you --
Michael: I will create a situation, a threat to our relationship that will make her work hard at getting Boyd's secret formula. Lena: So Kendall will think this is her idea.
Michael: She definitely will.
Lena: Michael, you are the best at being bad.
[stands and gives Michael a hand up as well]
Michael: Well, thank you.
Lena: You're welcome. I only hope you're not overestimating Kendall's affection for you.
Michael: Mm, no, Erica's rejection has made Kendall wonderfully vulnerable.
[Lena languidly wraps her arms around Michael and crosses her (very nice) hands behind his neck]
Lena: Mm, instead of hardening her?
Michael: Kendall, my darling Kendall, is ruled by her heart. Pulling her strings couldn't be any easier.
[Lena rubs his shoulders and neck and leans into a kiss]
Lena: [purrs] Good for us.
Michael: Good for me. Care to listen in?
Lena: No. [turns away to pick up her purse and heads toward the door] I have my own project. Remember?
Michael: [reaches over to a table to pick up the phone and walks toward her] Right, right. Well, do stop by later, will you? I do miss our [wraps hand behind Lena's neck and pulls her into a kiss; she keeps one hand on the doorknob] pillow talk.
Lena: Won't you have your hands full with Kendall?
Michael: Probably, but waiting makes it better.
[lightly smacks Lena on the *ss]
Lena: I'll leave you to work your magic.
[opens door and leaves]

***** (clip e) [Boyd tries to warn Bianca about Lena (Lena mention)]

[amc030415e-inc1 starts]
[Myrtle's]
Bianca: [still primping in the mirror while Boyd leans against the wall and crosses his arms] Boyd, [amc030415e-inc2 starts] you are not going to ruin this for me.
[amc030415e-inc1 ends]
Boyd: Come on, Bianca, something is not right about this whole thing, including Lena.
Bianca: Oh, yeah? Why, because you're not the one going on a date with her?
Myrtle: Is that what the bet was about?
Bianca: Yes [turns to face Myrtle], and now Boyd doesn't want to pay up.
Boyd: That has nothing to do with it.
Bianca: [moves and again pulls back her hair so Myrtle can retie the knot that's securing her top behind her neck] All right, then, it's jealousy, plain and simple.
Myrtle: Darling, your male ego has been hit.
[backhands Boyd on the chest]
Bianca: [nods] Mmhmm.
Boyd: No! [Binks lets go her hair and smoothes it out] Look, Lena is not what she seems --
Bianca: Oh, Boyd, please! [turns to face him] Just lay off the anti-Lena kick until after I leave, please?
Boyd: Binks, I'm only telling you this because I care about you.
Bianca: Well, then be happy for me. [turns and walks a few steps away] I'm going out on a date tonight with Lena. We are going to have a delightful time.
Boyd: Yeah, that's what worries me. Then what?
Bianca: Excuse me?
Boyd: Come on, you know what I mean. You're charming, she's charming, she's funny, she's beautiful, you're... beautiful --
Bianca: Oh, well, thank you. How do you like the outfit?
Boyd: Don't change the subject. I'm serious.
Bianca: I know, you're way too serious, Boyd. Lena and I are just getting to know each other. No harm in that, right?
Boyd: There is if you're counting on it leading to something more.
Bianca: Oh, Boyd, please, stop it. [turns away, her hands going to her temples]
Boyd: [arm-flapping soap actor gestures] Look, I just don't want you investing in some romance that's not gonna lead to anything.
Bianca: Well, we don't know it's not!
Boyd: I don't know, I can't shake this feeling.
Bianca: Try.
[Myrtle wrings her hands in the background]
Boyd: Look, all I'm saying is, I want what's best for you, okay? A woman that wants what you want, that deserves you.
Bianca: Boyd, can I tell you the last time a woman has pursued me like this? Never! So please, just let me enjoy it, if only for one night.
Boyd: Even if it means you might wind up getting hurt.
Bianca: Yeah. Even then. Lena asked me out tonight. I feel more alive than I have in centuries. We're gonna go out, we're gonna have a marvelous time, and you're still gonna owe me dinner. Live with it.
[knock at the door; pan to Lena entering, wearing a shawl over something black]
Lena: Bianca. You look breathtaking.
[they gaze at each other, Lena's expression rapturous, Binks' almost predatory]

***** (clip f) [Boyd gets Myrtle all riled up about Lena]

[amc030415f-inc1 starts]
Bianca: I've never seen this dress before.
[Bianca walks toward Lena, smiling. Throughout this exchange Myrtle looks back and forth between them like a Wimbledon spectator]
Lena: Well, [amc030415f-inc starts] I bought it especially for tonight, [unwraps shawl] do you approve?
[amc030415f-inc1 starts]
[shows off a slinky Little Black Dress with tiny spaghetti straps that leaves most of her neck and shoulders bare; the open "sleeve" design is quite similar to that of the blouse Sosnovska wears in her SoapTalk interview with Lisa the Idiot and Ty the Tool]
Bianca: Absolutely, it's... you're stunning.
[both of them grin like fools]
Lena: [looks over at Myrtle] Well, Mrs. Fargate, we don't look like two women who work hard all day, do we?
Myrtle: You look like a pair of knockouts.
Bianca: Oh, [hands fly to her mouth] work! I completely forgot to call Etienne Poussaint today in Hong Kong. I'm supposed to call this afternoon.
Lena: Well, it's not too late.
Bianca: No, that's right, let's, um... let's use the phone in my room.
[heads toward stairs; Lena starts to follow]
Boyd: [clears his throat and points] There's a phone right here.
Bianca: Boyd, this is business.
Myrtle: Lena, why don't you stay here and visit with me?
Lena: Uh, Bianca might need me.
Bianca: Yeah, actually I do. Come on up. [takes Lena's hand as they go up the stairs] You look so stunning.
[Lena murmurs something in reply]
Myrtle: [whispers] Boyd. [aloud] Boyd. Give it to me straight --no pun intended. Do you think Bianca is heading for trouble with Lena?
Boyd: Let's just say Lena's been a busy girl, playing both sides of the street, if you know what I mean.
Myrtle: Is that what your bet was about?
Boyd: Look, Lena planted a major kiss on me.
Myrtle: But --
Boyd: And she's made some very direct passes more than once.
Myrtle: She kissed you, she's taking Bianca out?
Boyd: Exactly.
Myrtle: I don't know what game that girl is playing, but I don't like it.

***** (clip g) [Myrtle invites herself on Lena and Bianca's date]

[amc030415g starts]
Myrtle: Boyd, what do you think [amc030415g-inc starts] Lena is really up to?
Boyd: Could be some kind of power thing, where men and women -- I don't know.
Myrtle: Well, she's looking at getting her claws into Bianca.
Boyd: Listen, Myrtle, I don't think it's such a good idea to gang up on her right now. I mean, she's obviously mad at me.
Myrtle: But, listen, I'd rather have that child mad at me than hurt.
Boyd: Yeah, but that's the whole point. I mean, let's face it, Bianca's not a child. And if we don't trust her to make adult choices --
Myrtle: She'll go after Lena, with a vengeance.
Boyd: Exactly. [they both look up at the sound of Lena and Binks coming down the stairs]
Bianca: Thank goodness I remembered that phone call.
Lena: Your mother should be very pleased.
Bianca: I think she will. Oh, look, our sendoff committee is still here.
Boyd: Slow night.
Lena: Not for us.
Myrtle: Well, where are you girls off to?
Bianca: We're going to SOS. It's open mike night but they have dancing and carousing before the amateurs take over.
Lena: Sounds great?
Myrtle: I'll say. Listen, count me in, girls. I feel like kicking up my heels tonight.

***** (clip h) [Lena, Bianca, and Myrtle leave on their date]

[amc030415h starts]
Myrtle: Wonderful, oh wonderful! [hangs up phone and walks toward Lena and Binks, who have identical sickly grins plastered onto their faces] Oh, Clara Lee is going to try to join us.
Bianca: Well, Myrtle, I --
Myrtle: You remember Clara? You remember -- of course you remember her. She used to sing with Snappy's Cynical Painters, you remember? And then she married Snappy and -- oh, round about 1940, I think --
Bianca: That's wonderful, Myrtle, but we --
Myrtle: You know I think tonight, maybe Clara and I could wow the crowd with a couple of our old numbers, what about that? Oh, what a good idea!
Lena: This should be a date to remember.
[Myrtle opens the door]
Myrtle: Yes. Oh, I tell you what. If by any chance Clara can't make it, we could team up as a trio. [Lena and Binks look at each other, appalled] I mean, can you girls harmonize?
Bianca: No, I, I don't think so.
[Lena scoots out the door while Binks gathers her purse and jacket]
Myrtle: Oh, Boyd, you're going to miss so much fun.
Boyd: Go! You can tell me all about it when you get back.
Bianca: Oh, don't worry, we will. [walks out]
Myrtle: Listen, we'll tell you over breakfast. Don't wait up for us. [over her shoulder to Boyd] Lena is not going to vamp her when I'm around.

***** (clip a) [Previously on AMC; Boyd telling Bianca that Lena kissed him]

Previously on AMC
Maria: Hayward could be the key to getting control of my life.
[amc030415a-inc starts]
Boyd: Lena kissed me. I think she's playing one of us.
[amc030415a-inc ends]
Michael: I cannot wait until you're back in my arms again.
Jack: You and Erica are over. You don't have say any her life.
Chris: I'll tell you --
Jack: Yeah, is that right?
Aidan: Hey, break it up!
Chris: I gave you a chance! You should've taken it.

***** (clip b) [Lena is frustrated by Michael's non-progress with Kendall]

[amc030415b starts]
[Michael's condo]
Lena: This is a little premature, isn't it?
Michael: Oh, why premature? Haven't you made any progress with Mr. Boyd Larraby?
Lena: Like I said, [amc0415b-inc starts] when it comes to Boyd, I've hit the wall. He's wary of me.
Michael: If you've given yourself away --
Lena: Of course not. My position at Enchantment is secure but Boyd's just shut down.
Michael: So you're concentrating on Bianca Montgomery, right?
Lena: For now. Anyway, what happened to Plan A, getting to the formula through Kendall?
Michael: Well, Kendall's performance and Boyd's reaction continue to be disappointing.
[they clink glasses in a toast and drink]

***** (clip c) [Bianca gets ready for Lena's date (Lena mention)]

[amc030415c starts]
Myrtle: Oh my, my, my. You do look fine. Who's the lucky girl, Lena?
Bianca: Yes, Lena. Oh, what do you think, with, or without
Myrtle: Well, you don't really need jewelry to sparkle, but... with.
Bianca: Oh, excellent. Would you mind checking the clasp for me?
Myrtle: My pleasure.
Bianca: Thank you.
Boyd: Wow, look at you!
Myrtle: Doesn't she look sharp?
Boyd: Gorgeous. But, ah, if this is all for Lena, you know you're wasting your time, right?

***** (clip d) [Lena and Michael discuss Kendall some more]

[amc030415d-inc1 starts]
Lena: Well, the fact that [amc030415d-inc2 starts] Kendall's madly in love with you does strengthen your position, but... she's not stupid.
[amc030415d-inc1 ends]
Michael: Mm. Would I court an idiot?
Lena: Yes, but when you suggested she seduce Boyd--
Michael: What a crass and disgusting idea!
Lena: Oh, forgive me, I'm not the subtle manipulator that you are.
Michael: I would never suggest that the woman I love go to bed with another man.
Lena: Then how exactly are you --
Michael: I will create a situation, a threat to our relationship that will make her work hard at getting Boyd's secret formula.
Lena: Mm, instead of hardening her?
Michael: Kendall, my darling Kendall, is ruled by her heart. Pulling her strings couldn't be any easier.
Lena: Good for us.
Michael: Good for me. Care to listen in?
Lena: No. I have my own project. Remember?
Michael: Right, right. Well, do stop by later, will you? I do miss our pillow talk.
Lena: Won't you have your hands full with Kendall?
Michael: Probably, but waiting makes it better.
Lena: I'll leave you to work your magic.

***** (clip e) [Boyd tries to warn Bianca about Lena (Lena mention)]

[amc030415e starts]
Bianca: Boyd, [amc030415e-inc starts] you are not going to ruin this for me.
Boyd: Come on, Bianca, something is not right about this whole thing, including Lena.
Bianca: Oh, yeah? Why, because you're not the one going on a date with her?
Myrtle: Is that what the bet was about?
Bianca: Yes, and now Boyd doesn't want to pay up.
Boyd: That has nothing to do with it.
Bianca: All right, then, it's jealousy, plain and simple.
Myrtle: Darling, your male ego has been hit.
Bianca: Mmhmm.
Boyd: No! Look, Lena is not what she seems --
Bianca: Oh, Boyd, please! Just lay off the anti-Lena kick until after I leave, please?
Boyd: Binks, I'm only telling you this because I care about you.
Bianca: Well, then be happy for me. I'm going out on a date tonight with Lena.
Look, I just don't want you investing in some romance that's not gonna lead to anything.
Lena: Bianca. You look breathtaking.

***** (clip f) [Boyd gets Myrtle all riled up about Lena]

[amc030415f-inc1 starts]
Bianca: I've never seen this dress before.
Lena: Well, [amc030415f-inc2 starts] I bought it especially for tonight, [unwraps shawl] do you approve?
[amc030415f-inc1 ends]
Bianca: Absolutely, it's... you're stunning.
[both of them grin like fools]
Lena: Well, Mrs. Fargate, we don't look like two women who work hard all day, do we?
Myrtle: You look like a pair of knockouts.
Bianca: Oh, work! I completely forgot to call Etienne Poussaint today in Hong Kong. I'm supposed to call this afternoon.
Lena: Well, it's not too late.
Bianca: No, that's right, let's, um... let's use the phone in my room.
Boyd: There's a phone right here.
Bianca: Boyd, this is business.
Myrtle: Lena, why don't you stay here and visit with me?
Lena: Uh, Bianca might need me.
Bianca: Yeah, actually I do. Come on up. You look so stunning.
[Lena murmurs something in reply]
Myrtle: Boyd.

[amc030415g-inc1 starts]
Myrtle: Boyd, what do you think [amc030415g-inc2 starts] Lena is really up to?
[amc030415g-inc1 ends]

I mean, can you girls harmonize?
Bianca: No, I, I don't think so.
Myrtle: Oh, Boyd, you're going to miss so much fun.
Boyd: Go! You can tell me all about it when you get back.
Bianca: Oh, don't worry, we will.
Myrtle: Listen, we'll tell you over breakfast. Don't wait up for us. [over her shoulder to Boyd] Lena is not going to vamp her when I'm around.
