Lena finally tells the truth
but Bianca does not believe her
ALL GAY RE-CAP
Lena Kundera (Olga Sosnovska)
Bianca arrives at SOS and orders a ginger ale; Lena greets her by kissing her neck and making her jump, which she covers by saying she's not used to PDAs (public displays of affection); Lena continues to be oblivious to Binks' standoffishness and confesses to Binks about her mother, that she's not dead, just in hiding because she collaborated with the communist government; Binks thinks that's crap; Lena insists that she's telling the truth and Binks pretends to believe her; Lena gets all verklempt over the thought of the two people she loves most (Lena is telling Bianca she loves her, albeit indirectly, 3rd time), Binks and her mother, being in the same room; Kendall finds a letter written to Michael by his father; Kendall also finds an envelope full of stalker pictures of her and Binks; Binks claims she has some work to do and Lena tries to score a booty call for later, saying that she doesn't want to wake up alone again
From The Official Site at ABC.com:
http://abc.go.com/daytime/allmychildren/episodes/2003-04/20030514.htmlErica tells Kendall they need to get solid proof of Michael's treachery. Kendall arrives to see Michael and learns he is going out of town. Kendall sneaks back into Michael's condo and begins to search through his files. Kendall begins to feel sympathy fro Michael when she finds a letter his father wrote him several years earlier in which he berated Michael for his poor performance in school. Kendall's sympathy is short lived when she finds surveillance photos of her and Ryan and realizes Michael had been plotting to use her for over a year. Kendall finishes downloading some of Michaels' computer files as he suddenly returns and wonders how she was able to get back inside his condo. Bianca meets with Lena at SOS as planned. Lena tells Bianca the truth that her mother is still alive and sincerely says that Bianca is the first person she feels she can trust. Bianca reaches her breaking point and calls Lena a liar but quickly covers her remark.
From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/cs/recaps/a/bl20030514r.htmBianca’s not eager to share airspace with the biggest liar on this side of the Atlantic, but Kendall and Erica agree she must. Kendall says if that Polish piranha figures out they’re on to her, she’ll go straight to Michael. Erica adds they need to buy some time to bring him down. Bianca gets a text message from Lena that she misses her; deciding not to put this off any longer, she starts to leave. Erica tells her to be strong because this is going to be over very soon. There’s an uncomfortable moment of silence after Bianca leaves, and Kendall notes this is the first time they’ve ever had dinner together. Erica smiles as she says she doesn’t imagine plotting to bring Michael Cambias down gives her much of an appetite. This is obviously an awkward situation, but they need each other to bring down Michael Cambias and that woman. Kendall’s sure they’ll get them, saying when Erica goes after somebody, she’s unstoppable, “I know, because I’ve been up against you a few times.” Erica insists they can’t bring Michael and Lena down by sheer will alone; they’ll need concrete proof of their crimes in order to make them pay. Kendall says he’s careful, and not about to slip up, “What else can I do, steal his files?”
Michael finds Lena making a phone call and asks who she’s calling? Until their work together is through, everything she does is his business! Lena retorts that she’s prepared to do whatever he asks as long as he leaves her mother alone, but what she does in her spare time is of no consequence to him. Michael argues it is if she spills to Baby Kane that he’s acquired the recipe for her mother’s anti-aging cream; he wants to be up and running before Erica finds out what she’s missing, so he’s off to Argentina to supervise the start of production. She leaves, and Michael calls to order a flight plan be filed; they’re flying to Buenos Aires tonight...
Bianca comes into S.O.S. and is startled when Lena comes up and surprises her with a kiss on the neck. Lena laughs, “It’s just me—who did you think it was?” Bianca tells her, “Somebody I didn’t know!”
Kendall knocks on Michael’s door as he’s leaving, and asks if he’s going somewhere? When he tells her South America for a business trip, she says she’s going to miss him! “I’ll bet,” he retorts before taking her in his arms for a long kiss that’s interrupted by the honk of his car. He says that was nice, almost like she meant it. Kendall tells him she did, and as soon as he gets her Enchantment, there’s a lot more where that came from. Kendall gets the door, managing to slide the bolt so it can’t lock, and offers to walk him to his car. When he’s gone, she goes back to his condo and locks the door behind her. She puts a device on the computer as she wonders aloud what secrets he’s hiding from her; she starts transferring a file to an MP3 player. As it downloads, she looks through the desk and finds an envelope addressed to Michael at The Bentley School of Vermont, postmarked 1986. Kendall wonders what’s so important that he’s hiding it after all this time; she opens it and finds a letter from Michael’s father. She reads, “Michael, I have just received your latest report card and I’m deeply disappointed in you. Apparently you’ve forgotten our talk at your brother’s funeral. Since your older brother wanted to shoulder the responsibility of leading the next generation of our family, I never pressured you. I looked the other way when you engaged in less than stellar behavior. But, now that your brother is so tragically lost to us, it is up to you to take his place. The future of this family takes precedence over your self-indulgent whims. I trust that this is the last time you will let us down.” Kendall sighs, “Oh god, Michael—no wonder. I thought my mother was bad!” She replaces the letter in the drawer and takes out a large envelope with pictures of Bianca and Maggie, and Kendall with Ryan. Kendall exclaims, “Oh my god! He's been stalking us all this time, even when I was with Ryan. Oh my god, you sick bastard!” Hearing a car approaching, Kendall hurriedly puts everything back in the drawer and looks at the file she’s copying, the download now 91% complete, as she breathes, “Come on, come on, hurry up, hurry up!” As the file is completed and the computer closed, Michael comes through the door and asks how she got in here, and why?
Lena asks why she’s so jumpy, and Bianca says she’s not used to being kissed in public. Lena senses something is wrong. Learning that Bianca was having dinner with her mother, Lena asks if Erica’s giving her a hard time about her? Bianca tells her that Erica knows she needs to make her own decisions, even if they’re decisions she doesn’t agree with. She asks if Lena’s mother was always trying to run her life, or if she passed away when she was too young? Lena wants to tell her about her mother—she wants to tell her everything; she wasn’t going to do this—she’s never trusted anyone enough to tell. She takes a deep breath and tells her, “I’ve been lying to you.” She doesn’t want to lie, but her mother's life depends on it. Bianca says she thought her mother was dead. Lena agrees that’s what she tells people when they ask, but it's not true. She's alive and in great danger, “Many years ago, she collaborated with the oppressive regime in my country. She was a model, and they let her travel abroad to the west anywhere. But in return, they expected her to do certain favors for them.” Bianca asks if she was a spy? Lena insists it was only because they threatened to destroy her career if she didn't collaborate. Like many people at the time, she thought she had to go along with it; she regrets it terribly now, but she can't undo the past. She goes on that the new regime would hold her accountable for her activities; that's why she has to live in hiding, “That's why I tell everyone she's dead—to protect her. But I couldn't lie to you, Bianca. I've never trusted anyone as much as I trust you.” She’s taken aback when Bianca asks, “Do you actually expect me to believe a word you say?” She starts to walk away, and Lena protests that she told her the truth.
Bianca says she’s sorry; she’s just dealt with so many lies in the past, and swore to herself that that wouldn't be her life anymore. Lena says that’s one of the things she adores the most about her, and she hopes that some of her honesty might rub off on her. She hopes that one day Bianca will get to meet her mother, “It would be so wonderful to have the two people I love the most be in the same room.” Lena starts to cry, and tells Bianca she’s sorry before hurrying off. Bianca shakes her head as she sighs, “She's some piece of work.” Lena comes back and apologizes for getting so emotional, saying she’s not used to all these feelings. Bianca says she has to go. Her mother put her on a new project, and she has a lot of work to do. Lena suggests she come with her, and they’ll do it together, but Bianca insists she needs to do it alone to prove to her that she can handle this. Lena understands, and asks if she’ll call her when she’s done? Bianca notes that it could be pretty late, but Lena says that doesn’t matter, “I need you tonight. I don't want to wake up alone again.”...

The Kane women united! (And kids began building snow forts in Hell.)
The Thug was guard-dogging an injured Jack in an alley.
Derek insisted Edmund go get some air and then promptly got knocked unconscious by Flanders.
Aidan finally got that ring on Mauria’s finger.
At the penthouse with Erica and Kendall, Bianca stalls prior to her date with Lena. After getting a schmoopy text message from the Hot Polish Fox, she finally departs. Alone at last, Kendall and Erica pretend they didn’t hold hands earlier. They make attempts at small talk. The conversation soon turns to the catalysts of their unison: *sshat and “That Woman.” Kendall assures Erica that bringing those two down will be a slam dunk. “When you go after somebody, you’re unstoppable,” declares Kendall, “I know, I’ve been up against you a few times.” Erica states that if they really want to bring *sshat down, they need solid proof. “I’ve been sticking so close to him, I’m practically wearing his aftershave,” remarks Kendall. “What else can I do, steal his files?” Well, now that you mention it…
Lena attempts to smack *sshat down for nosing into her personal life with Bianca. He declares that it’s his business as long as there’s the risk that she may ‘fess all to “Baby Kane.” Is that a shout-out? We’ve been calling Binks that forever on the TWoP boards. *sshat is off to Argentina to begin the production on Boyd’s stolen formula...
Bianca arrives at SOS. She nervously orders a ginger ale and jumps a mile when Lena greets her by kissing her neck. Lena giggly wonders who Bianca thought was kissing her. “Somebody I didn’t know,” anvils Bianca.
Bloody Vomit Dress Kendall knocks on *sshat’s door and pretends to be surprised to learn that he’s on his way out. She also pretends to preemptively miss him since he seems to be headed out of the country for an indefinite period of time (and I’d probably think that the kiss he laid on her was hot if I hadn’t already seen tomorrow’s episode and gotten sick). Kendall gets *sshat’s door for him and rigs the lock so she can get back in later, unbeknownst to him...
Kendall returns to *sshat’s place. She plugs a device into the port of his laptop and starts copying files. And yes, I’m completely overlooking the fact that *sshat’s computer doesn’t seem to be password protected and while I have no idea what the h*** that device is that Kendall’s uploading to, I doubt it would be called “mp3” by said computer. Huh, I guess I’m not overlooking it after all. While she waits, Kendall decides to root through *sshat’s desk. She finds some old letter postmarked 1986 and wonders why he’s hanging onto it. Well, there’s only one way to find out…
Bianca covers her reaction to Lena by saying that she’s not used to making PDAs. Lena continues to be schmoopy, oblivious to Bianca’s standoffishness. Bianca mentions that she’d just come from Erica’s and the subject of her narcissistic mother leads Bianca to wonder if Lena’s own mother was more understanding before she died. Lena squirms and decides to come clean about her not-dead mom...
The letter Kendall reads is to *sshat from his father. In it, he’s chastising his son for being a crappy student which was overlooked in the past but ever since his older brother’s death, Dad of *sshat expects him to take up the slack. Kendall is obviously feeling pity now for *sshat and I think I can see her brain trying to wriggle its way back out through her earhole. No! Stay brain, stay!...
Lena tells Bianca that her mother was forced to collaborate with the communist government. Bianca thinks the story is a load of horses***...
Lena insists that she’s telling the truth. Bianca backpedals from her knee-jerk reaction, apologizes and lies that she believes Lena. Lena would like for Bianca to one day meet her mother. She gets weepy at the thought of the two people she loves the most in the same room. Wow, more things I never thought I’d see. Lena running to the bathroom because she’s about to cry with joy. Bianca just shakes her head at Lena’s audacity.
Kendall puts the letter back. What she finds next ensures that her brain ain’t going anywhere. It’s an envelope full of stalker pictures of her and Bianca. And some of the pics are quite dated, all from last year. This is what they were: Bianca and Maggie at SOS during Brooke and Edmund’s engagement party (which was in August), Ryan and Kendall at Myrtle’s from their indoor picnic day (which was in April), Kendall talking to Chris at the Valley Inn bar (I can’t place that one), Kendall and Ryan right after he’d given her the engagement ring (which was in June). Kendall seethes. Yup, the grey matter is no where to be seen in her earhole now. Kendall hears a car pull up so she puts everything away and begs the computer to hurry...
The computer finishes up. Kendall disconnects her thingie, closes the laptop and is just finishing putting said thingie in her purse when *sshat returns. Of course.
Lena apologizes to Bianca for getting all weepy. Bianca has to go because she has some work to do. Lena tries to tag along but Bianca fibs that she wants to prove to her mother that she can do her new project by herself. Lena then tries to score a booty call from her later, not wanting to wake up alone in the morning. Bianca just gives her a noncommittal shrug...

Lena parts are indicated in red for those who only want a Lena fix
TODAY ON AMC:
Bianca is the new maid. Michael winds his watch. Kendall downloads MP3s. Lena tells Bianca the truth. In part. Bianca lies.
Erica's Penthouse - Bianca has gone domestic: she’s clearing the table after yet another meal we have not seen; she says she's procrastinating, though I think she means she is delaying the inevitable. Details, details. Both Erica and Kendall insist that Bianca should go meet Lena right away.
Bianca: "I am just not too eager to share airspace with the biggest liar on this side of the Atlantic."
You're so young: Bianca, meet a good friend of mine, Henry Kissinger.
Kendall: "If that Polish piranha figures out that we're on to her, that's it, she's gonna go straight to Michael."
All right, look: Polish is the language spoken in Poland, not the people of Poland. A person from Poland is a Pole, ok? Did the AMC writers take lessons from George W. Bush who, in his infinite wisdom, called the people of Greece "Grecians?"
Lena sends a text message to Bianca: she misses her.
This would be so sweet if they weren't making Lena into too much of a needy person. Or is that just my impression? Lena, you only get away with that because you're gorgeous. So, what is up with Bianca's walk all of a sudden? Are her shoes hurting?
Erica walks Bianca to the door and my eyes fall on her hair which, again, is fuller than her *ss. Nida and I think Erica's hair has a function: she thinks her hair would buffer a fall while I think her hair can actually tip her over and then act as a buffer to prevent head injury: what do you think?
Erica and Kendall have a mother-daughter moment of sorts; apparently, Kendall has not eaten very much, but quickly the conversation turns to Michael Cambias. Lena no longer has a name: Erica channels Bill Clinton and refers to her as "that woman." Though, well, if she were to wag her finger and tell me she didn't have sex "with that woman," Lena Kundera, I'd believe her.
Is there anything more tender than a daughter complimenting her mother on how good she is at revenge and scheming? It's all so warm and fuzzy.
Michael's Place - Michael has changed clothes and walks in just as Lena is finishing up that text message for Bianca.
Michael: "Whom are you calling?"
Lena: "None of your business."
Michael: "Until our work together is finished everything you do in my business."
Lena: "Look, I'm prepared to do whatever you ask as long as you leave my mother alone. What I do in my spare time is of no consequence to you."
Michael: "It is if you spill to baby Kane that I've acquired the recipe for her mother's anti-aging cream. I wanna be up and running before Erica finds out what she's missing."
Lena: "You'd better work fast because Erica is a very shrewd woman."
Michael: "That's why I'm off to Argentina: to supervise the start of production."
Lena: "Oh, well: I hope it's a long trip."
Michael: "Nope, but it should be a profitable one. I'll call you."
Lena: "I'll be waiting by the phone."
Michael, on the phone, sets a flight plan for Buenos Aires.
I am glad to know AMC writers have finally matched a city with its corresponding country.
Other People, Other Places - Yes, you guessed it: I'm still not interested. I think that's Greenlee, the one who calls Bianca 'Lesbianca.' That's very clever. A woman walking with crutches...that annoying kid again...Fusion's offices...blah blah. I call the Alpaca Farm.
S.O.S. - Bianca walks in and asks for a Ginger Ale. Yum, I like Ginger Ale! The Sexy Pole walks in behind her and plants a very growr kiss on Bianca's neck. Good move Lena, I approve! Bianca is too jumpy though, so she freaks. Or maybe she thinks Lena has the cooties now. Oh come on Bianca, all she's doing is lying to you: get over it. Heh. Yes, I am joking. But they'd better get a move on with this whole story or I'll grow old and die.
Michael's Place - Kendall arrives just as Michael is about to leave; she walks him to the cab, then comes back and begins downloading some files from his very outdated-looking Vaio. The File she is copying reads "Cambias to MP3."
Yes, if you can't beat him with sex, put him to music.
Kendall begins to go through DisgustingMichael's drawers and finds an old letter, one from his dad. And she talks to herself because, if she were to keep silent, we would not be able to follow this riveting letter development.
S.O.S. - Lena is all smiles and grins, Bianca is not.
Lena: "What's the matter, why are you so jumpy?"
Bianca: "It's nothing. I'm not used to being kissed in public."
Lena: "Oh, I'm sorry: I'll be more discreet. It's just, I was so happy to see you: you have no idea how much my day improves when I'm with you."
More discreet? As it is, we're not getting to see anything! After all, who wants to see a happy, healthy and well-adjusted gay relationship on screen?
Bianca: "Well, I'm glad."
Lena: "Bianca, you seem so stressed: where were you when I spoke with you? At work?"
Bianca: "No, I was having dinner with my mother."
Lena: "Is she giving you a hard time about me?"
Yup, sharp as a tack, Lena.
Bianca: "She understands that I need to make my own decisions even if they are decisions that she doesn't agree with. What about your mother: was she always trying to run your life or...did she pass away when you were too young? If this...bothers you..."
Lena: "No, no. I want to tell you about my mother. I want to tell you everything."
Bianca: "You do?"
Lena: "Ah...I wasn't gonna do this. I've never trusted anyone enough to tell."
Bianca: "Tell me what?"
Lena: "Bianca, I've been lying to you."
Oh, the words all lovers long to hear.
Michael's Place - Kendall is now reading that letter. Michael's dad is disappointed in Michael's grades and Kendall thinks this gives her great insight into the Disgusting One's character: "No wonder," she thinks out loud. Yes, all under-performers turn into disgusting b*st*rds corporate raiders who need Tall Sexy Lanky Poles to be their pimps. I'm telling you: those sunken eyes are dangerous to her brain!
S.O.S. - Bianca tells Lena she can tell her anything. I get the sense she’s hoping Lena will finally come clean about everything because, at this point, Lena is still forgivable.
Lena: "I don't want to lie but my mother's life depends on it."
Bianca: "Your mother's alive? I thought your mother was dead."
Lena: "No, that's what I tell people when they ask, but it's not true. She's alive. She's in great danger. Many years ago she collaborated with the oppressive regime in my country. She was a model and they let her go abroad, to the West, anywhere. In return, they expected her to do certain favors for them."
Bianca: "She was a spy?"
Lena: "Only because they threatened to destroy her career if she didn't collaborate. Like many people at the time, she thought she had to go along with it. She regrets it terribly now, but she can't undo the past."
Lena, let me break this to you as gently as I possibly can: your mother is an imbecile. Since she was able to travel to the West, she was in a position to defect and she could have done it even if accompanied by a minder. Regret just is not going to cut it: she should rot in prison.
Bianca: "No one can."
Lena: "The new regime will hold her accountable for her activities. That's why she has to live in hiding, that's why I tell everyone she's dead: to protect her."
Regime? The people of Poland as well as Aleksander Kwasniewski, the President of the country, will be so glad to know that the Revolution that brought them a Republic has gone completely unnoticed by AMC.
Lena: "But I couldn't lie to you Bianca. I've never trusted anyone as much as I trust you."
Bianca: "Do you actually expect me to believe a word you say?"
Other People, Other Places - As I skip ahead, I notice a woman who is attempting to Weaver a guy with her crutch. Hum: I think Dr. Kerry needs to give you lessons.
S.O.S. - Bianca walks away and Lena follows her.
Lena: "Bianca, I promise it's the truth."
Bianca: "Of course it is. I'm sorry, I just...I've dealt with so many lies in the past I swore to myself that it wouldn't be my life anymore."
Lena: "That's one of the things I adore the most about you and I hope that some of your honesty might rub off on me. Look, I really hope that one day you'll get to meet my mother. It would be so wonderful to have the two people I love the most in the same room."
Lena gets emotional and leaves as Bianca mutters that Lena is "some piece of work."
So - fair to say Lena is a U-Haul lesbian? Definitely more Dr. Kim than Dr. Kerry. I'm beginning to cringe at the story line: as much as I enjoyed Lena's declaration of love the other day, I have to wonder whether the timing could have been better as it did come smack in the middle of all these lies. On the other hand, AMC writers seem to be using Lena's real feelings for Bianca as her catalyst to finally tell her the truth. Thing is, it's getting more and more difficult to enjoy the gorgeous moments given that all this baggage is behind them.
Michael's Place - As Kendall finishes copying the files and puts back all the papers she has rifled through, Michael opens the door and catches her in the act.
Color me bored: who didn't see this coming 3 minutes into today's show?
S.O.S. - Lena apologizes for her emotional outburst.
Lena: "I'm sorry I got so emotional: I'm not used to all these feelings."
Bianca: "Oh, what are you used to?"
Lena: "I don't want to dwell on the past: the present is better. Are you going?"
Bianca: "Ah...I have to go. I have a lot of work to do. My mother put me on a new project."
Lena: "I'll come with you, we'll do it together."
Aww...see? Perfect girlfriend. Reminds me of when I was in College and used to tell my girlfriend that she could stop by anytime because, no, I never slept.
Bianca: "No, I need to do it alone. To prove to her that I can handle this."
Lena: "I understand. You'll call me when you're done?"
Bianca: "You know, it could be really late."
Lena: "It doesn't matter. I need you tonight: I don't want to wake up alone again."
Gasp! I am shocked! Lena, was this a booty call?
TOMORROW ON AMC: A lot of crap. I don't see Lena or Bianca anywhere, so there might not be a recap: enjoy the day off!
This parody is by LizzieT.
No Lena parts today but there is a Kendall part!
Edmund showed up at Fusion looking for Mia.
Greenlee: Forget Mia. Would you like to be in my storyline?
Edmund: Sorry, between a murderer being after my daughter and my girlfriend being missing, I'm a little busy.
Tad: Has anyone seen Liza?
Greenlee: Forget Liza. Come with me. You need a storyline and I need a partner who can act. We'd be great together.
Tad: Sorry Greenlee. I'm only supposed to come with you and talk to you about Carlos. You're still stuck with him.
At SOS Simone and Carlos bonded.
Simone: Why do you think we're here in the middle of what was otherwise a really good episode?
Carlos: Maybe to drum up rooting value for me and Greenlee. I think they want to remind people that when I'm in scenes with Greenlee, at least one of us can act.
Greenlee: Please Tad. Please let me be in your storyline. Leo would have wanted it this way.
Tad: Leo might have wanted it but I have a feeling Dixie would be p***** off.
Mia arrived at Wildwind with balloons for Maddie.
Mia: Hello. Edmund? Maddie? Dimitri? The ghost of Hugo? Is anyone home? This reminds me of one of those horror movies when the heroine knows a killer is loose but goes right on into the darkened house anyway. Oh well, here I go into the darkened house. Hello. Is anyone there? Oh look, it's Derrick all tied up and unconcious. This could be a bad thing.
Flanders: :::thud:::: Hey, dis ain't cool. I"m gettin beat up by a girl - and one of de Fusion girls at dat.:::hair pull:::: Now answer dat phone.
Maddie: Where's my daddy?
Aidan: Ello. Oo is this?
Flanders: :::hangs up phone:::: Now tell me where de kid is.
Mia: Why didn't you just ask her while you were on the phone with her? :::whack::::biff::::
Flanders: Now cut dat out!
Maria: Who answered the phone Maddie?
Maddie: I think it was Mia. She sounded all out of breath. I'll bet she and daddy were -
Maria: Why don't you try to get some sleep? I'll sing you to sleep. :::flashback::::Why that's me singing. And I'm holding a baby. It must be Maddie. I'm getting my memory back for sweeps! Who could have predicted that?
Erica found Reggie in her living room.
Reggie: Hi Mom. I'm home.
Erica: What are you doing here?
Jack: You knew he was my foster son. Where did you expect him to live?
Erica: I thought he'd just stay in the attic. It's good enough for Sam.
Reggie: Lizzie, the three of us are funny enough. We don't need you to recap our scenes.
Lizzie: I can't argue with that. You guys have fun.
Erica: Watch out for the ::::crash:::: priceless vase.
Kendall went over to Michael's to steal his computer files.
Kendall: I guess while I'm stealing his files I could read his private mail too. Hmmm, a letter from his father when Michael was just a little boy. "Dear son, You are a disgrace to the family. If you don't change your ways you will end up a slug. " Wow, and I thought Erica was tough. What's this? Pictures of me and my family. There's me with Ryan right before he dumped me. There's Bianca with Maggie right before Maggie dumped her. There's Erica with Chris right before he dumped her. I'm sensing a pattern here. Oh no! Michael's coming back. What happened to your trip to Argentina?
Michael: Apparently slugs aren't allowed through customs. Something about produce and insect laws. What are you doing in my apartment?
Kendall: I can't tell you today.
Michael: Why not?
Kendall: It's called a cliffhanger. You'll have to tune in tomorrow.
'Yes, I will call the file MP3, and no one, NO ONE, shall suspect it contains files that will bring down the Cambias Empire! I am a clever person.'
Bianca: I'm just not too eager to share air space with the biggest liar on this side of the Atlantic.
Kendall: But you do. You do. If that polish piranha figures out that we're on to her, that's it. She's going to go straight to Michael.
Lena: What I do in my spare time is of no consequence to you.
Michael: Well, it is if you spill to baby Kane
Bianca: Do you actually expect me to believe a word you say?
Lena: That's one of the things I adore the most about you and I hope that some of your honesty might rub off on me.
Lena: I'm sorry I got so emotional. I'm not used to all these feelings.
Lena: I need you tonight. I don't want to wake up alone again.

***** (clip a) [Previously on AMC: The kane women toast the demise of Michael Cambias and Lena Kundera]
Erica: To the downfalls of Michael Cambias and Lena Kundera, and the women who will make it happen. May it be fast, just, and unforgettable.
***** (clip b) [Lena texts messages Bianca telling Bianca that she misses her; Erica and Kendall bond some more (no Lena)]
Erica: Bianca, leave that, honey. Coral's going to take care of it.
Kendall: And besides, it's no good stalling. Lena's waiting.
Bianca: I'm just not too eager to share air space with the biggest liar on this side of the Atlantic.
Erica: Oh, honey, and believe me, I wish that you didn't have to do this.
Kendall: But you do. You do. If that polish piranha figures out that we're on to her, that's it. She's going to go straight to Michael.
Erica: And we need some more time, honey. I need to buy some more time before we can bring him down.
Bianca: All right. So I’ll be the one sneaking around behind Lena’s back now. You know, I never really thought it would turn out this way.
Bianca: Ah. She's text-messaging me. She misses me.
Kendall: Are you going to call her back?
Bianca: No. I'm just going to go over there. I might as well not put this off any longer.
Erica: Bianca, you hang tough and you be strong, because this is going to be over very soon.
Bianca: I hope so.
Kendall: Well, this is the first time we've ever had dinner together.
Erica: Well, you didn't eat much. And I guess that plotting to bring Michael Cambias down didn't exactly give you a lot of appetite.
Kendall: No. I really enjoyed it.
Erica: Of course.
Kendall: That's not what I meant.
Erica: You know, Kendall, it's ok. I mean, obviously, this is an awkward situation, but we really need each other, you know, to bring down Michael Cambias and that woman.
Kendall: We'll get them. Trust me, we'll get them. When you go after somebody, you're unstoppable. I know. I've been up against you a few times.
Erica: Look, we are not going to bring Michael Cambias and Lena down by sheer will alone. We're going to have to have really concrete proof of their crimes if we're going to make them pay.
Kendall: Well, what kind of proof? I mean, I've been sticking so close to him I'm practically wearing his after-shave. But he's careful. He's not about to slip up. I mean, what else can I do? Steal his files?
***** (clip c) [Michael tells Lena he's going to Argentina tonight]
Michael: Who you calling?
Lena: None of your business.
Michael: Until our work together is finished, everything you do is my business.
Lena: Look, I'm prepared to do whatever you ask as long as you leave my mother alone. What I do in my spare time is of no consequence to you.
Michael: Well, it is if you spill to baby Kane that I’ve acquired the recipe for her mother's anti-aging cream. I want to be up and running before Erica finds out what she's missing.
Lena: Well, you'd better work fast, because Erica’s a very shrewd woman.
Michael: Well, that's why I’m off to Argentina to supervise the start of production.
Lena: Oh. Well, I hope it's a long trip.
Michael: No, but it should be a profitable one. I'll call you.
Lena: I'll be waiting by the phone.
Michael: I'm sure you will. [Lena leaves the room; Michael makes a call on the phone] File the flight plan. We're flying to Buenos Aires tonight.
***** (clip d) [Lena kisses Bianca from behind and Bianca jumps ten feet]
[SOS. Binks stands at the bar; she's still wearing the beige cardigan/brown skirt outfit from the 5/12 and 5/13 eps]
Bartender: Hey, what can I get for you?
Bianca: Oh, uh, just a ginger ale.
[Bianca looks tense. Lena walks up behind her and kisses her neck where it meets her shoulder; Binks jumps and turns quickly]
Lena: [laughs, smiling broadly. She's also in the same clothes from the previous couple of episodes] It's just me, who did you think it was?
Bianca: [rattled] Just somebody I didn't know.
***** (clip e) [Kendall sees Michael off and makes sure his condo is still open (no Lena)]
Kendall: Are you going somewhere?
Michael: South America. A business trip.
Kendall: Oh, that's so far. Will you be gone long?
Michael: Well, that depends.
Kendall: Well, I'm going to miss you.
Michael: Mm-hmm. I'll bet.
Michael: Hmm. That was nice. Almost like you meant it.
Kendall: I did. And as soon as you get me Enchantment, there's a lot more where that came from.
Michael: Well, then, in that case, I'll hurry back.
Kendall: Hmm. Oh, no, I got it, I got it.
[Kendall makes sure Michael's condo is unlocked]
Michael: Oh, thanks.
Kendall: I'll walk you to your car.
Kendall: Give you the proper sendoff you deserve.
***** (clip f) [Lena wants to come clean with Bianca]
Lena: [left hand on Binks' right elbow] What's the matter, why are you so jumpy?
Bianca: [covering badly, not that Lena notices. One of the most charming -- and maddening -- things about Lena at this stage is how giddy and goofy she gets when she's around Binks; unfortunately, it seems to totally short-circuit the HPF's considerable shrewdness and the powers of observation she brings to bear on everyone else] Oh, it's nothing, I'm... I'm not used to being kissed in public.
[Except in airports, apparently]
Lena: [warmly] Oh, I'm sorry, I'll be more discreet. It's just I was so happy to see you. You have no idea how much my day improves [bends toward Binks, who stiffens and almost imperceptibly leans away from her] when I am with you.
Bianca: Yeah, well, [turns to pick up her drink from the bar] I'm glad.
[Bianca walks away to sit at a table. Lena follows]
Lena: [concerned] Bianca, you seem so stressed. Where were you when I spoke to you, at work?
Bianca: No, I was having dinner with my mother.
Lena: [small understanding smile; leans on one arm, tilting her head to one side and looking flirtily up at Binks through her eyelashes] Is she giving you a hard time about me?
Bianca: [scooches a couple of inches away] She understands that I need to make my own decisions. [deep breath; expression turns stony] Even if they are decisions that she... doesn't agree with. [Lena continues to smile fondly at Binks] What about your mother, [Lena's smile disappears] was she, ah, always trying to run your life, [Lena ducks her head] or did she pass away when you were too young? [Binks feigns concern as Lena looks distressed] Um, if this bothers you, if it seems to --
Lena: No, no. [very seriously, staring intently at Binks] I want to tell you about my mother. I want to tell you everything.
Bianca [flatly]: You do.
Lena: [exhales, shaking her head slowly] I wasn't going to do this. [deep breath] I've never trusted anyone enough to tell.
Bianca: Tell me what?
Lena: [takes several more deep breaths] Bianca, I've been lying to you.
[End scene on closeup of Binks. The "No s***, Sherlock" expression seems to be duking it out with curiosity and maybe a little sliver of hope that Lena is actually going to come clean. But then again, maybe I'm just reading too much into that shot]
***** (clip g) [Lena finally tells the truth but Bianca does not believe her]
Bianca: Lena, you can tell me anything.
Lena: I didn't want to lie, but... my mother's life depends on it.
Bianca: Y-your mother's life? I thought... your mother was dead.
Lena: No, that's what I tell people when they ask but it's not true, she's alive and -- She's in great danger. Many years ago she collaborated with the oppressive regime in my country. She was a model and they let her travel abroad, to the West, anywhere, but... in return they expected her to do... certain favors for them.
Bianca: She was a spy? [face and tone of voice say "Bulls***"]
Lena: [earnestly] Only because they threatened to destroy her career if she didn't collaborate, and like many people at the time she thought she had to go along with it. Oh, she regrets it terribly now but... she can't undo the past.
Bianca: Well, no one can.
Lena: The new regime wants to hold her accountable for her activities. That's why she has to live in hiding, that's why I tell everyone she's dead, to protect her. [reaches forward and caresses Binks' shoulder; Binks stiffens and looks down for a moment] But I couldn't lie to you, Bianca. I've never trusted anyone as much as I trust you.
Bianca: [shrugging off Lena's hand] Do you actually expect me to believe a word you say?
***** (clip h) [Lena becomes emotionally overwhelmed telling Bianca about her mother]
[Lena looks as though she'd been slapped]
[Binks gets up and starts to walk away, hefting her purse over her shoulder, but stops at the sound of Lena's voice]
Lena: [follows] Bianca, I promise you, it's the truth!
Bianca: [tucks hair behind ear and turns toward Lena] Of course it is, I... I'm sorry, I just... you know, I've dealt with so many lies in the past and I swore to myself that that wouldn't be my life any more.
Lena: That's one of the things I adore the most about you and I hope that some of your honesty might rub [hand on chest] off on me. [Binks gives her a sideways "Yeah, right" look] Look, I really hope that one day you'll get to meet my mother. It would be so wonderful to have the two people I love the most in the same room. [gets verklempt] I'm sorry.
[Lena rushes off, crying]
Bianca: My God. She is some piece of work.
[Bianca goes after Lena]
***** (clip i) [Kendall discovers pictures that Michael took of Bianca and Kendall before she met Michael]
Kendall: I thought my mother was bad.
[Kendall finds some photos in an envelope and starts looking at them; first picture is of Maggie and Bianca; second is of Kendall and Ryan]
Kendall: Oh, my God. [Third picture is of Erica and Chris Stamp] Oh, my God. [Fourth picture is of Ryan and Kendall] He's been stalking us all this time, even when I was with Ryan. Oh, my God, you sick b******.
[Kendall puts the photos back and hears a car approach and looks nervously as only 90% of the Michael files have been copied from his laptop]
Kendall: Come on, come on, come on, hurry up, hurry up.
***** (clip j) [Kendall gets he files justin the nick of time (no Lena)]
[Lena finishes up the downloading and cleans up the evidence; Michael enters the condo]
Michael: How did you get in here? And why?
***** (clip k) [Lena wants to do serious bonding with Bianca but Bianca wants to leave]
[Lena in the foreground, composing herself turning as Binks approaches warily and gives her a perfunctory smile]
Lena: I'm sorry I got so emotional. I'm not used to all these feelings.
Bianca: Oh. Well, what are you used to?
Lena: [shrugs] I don't want to dwell on the past. Now is better. [laughs, a little uncomfortably. Binks smiles noncomittally and starts to turn away] You going?
Bianca: Uh, yeah, I have to go, I, I, um... I have a lot of work to do. [Lena's face falls] My mother put me on a new project, so...
Lena: All right. I'll come with you, we'll do it together.
Bianca: No, I, I... I need to do it alone. Um, to prove to her that... that I can handle this.
Lena: I understand. You'll call me when you're done?
Bianca: [backs away] You know, it could be pretty late.
Lena: That doesn't matter. I need you tonight. I don't want to wake up alone again.
[Binks doesn't answer, only smiling tightly and walking off]

The above described clips can also be found on my shared folder on AIM (http://www.aim.com to download). My user name on AIM is kymtaborn. E-mail me with your AIM user name (email@example.com) and I will give you access to the shared folder. When you have access, you can right click my user name on your buddy list and then click on get file. That should get you into the shared folder. If you have problems, then tweak your firewall. The downloads are slow because it has to go through the AIM filter AND often there are a lot of people downloading along with you. I apologize for the slow speed but this is the only way that I can distribute the clips at this time.
I am eliciting volunteers to host the clips throughout the web. If you have 5-25megs of space you can lend to this project, please let me know!
