RE-CAPS:

Bianca can't bring herself to face Lena. Maggie takes Lena off and convinces her that Bianca needs time and space to try and heal.

From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/cs/recaps/a/bl20030819r.htm

Lena is waiting in front of the penthouse door when Erica and Jack step off the elevator. She scrambles to her feet and says the doorman said Erica was out but she had to wait and begs her to tell her it’s a mistake and it’s not true! She breaks down at the look on Erica’s face, and Erica tells her this is not a good time to see Bianca. Lena cries that Bianca needs her, but Erica goes inside as she says Bianca’s just not ready. Jack tells Lena Erica is right, and this may take a while. As Lena agrees that she wants what’s best for Bianca, the elevator door opens again, and Bianca gets out with Maggie and David. Lena steps forward as she cries that she is so sorry, but Bianca shrinks from any contact and goes inside as David notes she needs some rest. Jack tells Lena that’s all for now, but Lena insists she can’t leave—she loves Bianca, and there must be something she can do! She argues that they love each other; Jack says that may be true, but right now her presence could be making this harder for Bianca to handle. Lena thinks Bianca blames her, but Jack reassures her Bianca has not indicated that she blames her in any way. Lena cries that she worked for Michael and was involved with him! Jack repeats that Bianca has been traumatized, and is confused; they’re just going to have to wait this out. Lena says Bianca is the purest person she’s ever known; what Michael did can’t change that, and she needs to tell her that. Jack knows how much she cares for her, but they have to let Bianca choose who she has around right now. Lena asks if he can put Michael away? Jack agrees he’ll make sure Cambias never harms another woman again.

Maggie comes out and tells Jack she’ll talk to Lena if he wants to be with Erica and Bianca. Jack touches Lena’s arm comfortingly as he advises her to give it a little time, and he goes inside. Lena cries that she loves Bianca and should be in there comforting her, but Maggie says she’s not ready. Lena insists Bianca needs to know that what’s happened hasn’t changed her feelings for her; she still loves her, and Bianca needs to hear that! Maggie sighs and takes Lena’s hand as she suggests they go get some air...

Jack repeats that they need evidence to convict Cambias. Erica says Bianca is a lesbian, and would never have consensual sex with a man—Bianca was raped! Jack knows that, but any good defense attorney is going to make mincemeat of her on the stand—he’s going to say maybe she wanted to experience what her girlfriend Lena did with him, and Erica says that’s sickening!...

Lena exclaims she knew they weren’t a couple! Maggie insists Bianca jumped in—she just followed along. When Lena demands to know why she didn’t come to her with the truth, Maggie tells her that’s not what Bianca wanted. Lena protests that she needs her and she loves her more than she knows, but Maggie says there was nothing she could have done; Bianca was in complete denial and didn’t want anyone to know she was raped. Lena says now it’s out and everyone knows—she belongs with her! She brings up that Bianca once thought she was in love with her after her sister died, but Maggie insists that doesn’t factor into this. Bianca just can’t be around people right now—it’s as simple as that. Lena argues that she’s not people, she’s her lover, and wants to be her partner for the rest of her life! Maggie thinks, if she really loves her, she has to leave her alone, as Bianca’s not ready right now. Lena fears that’s because she’s responsible—she slept with the man who raped her! She was with Michael to keep her job and help her mother; she wishes she had handled it differently and hates herself now, and so does she! Maggie insists Bianca never said anything like that—she just didn’t want her to find out she was raped. None of them know how she feels, and that’s why they have to respect how she wants to deal with that. She knows Lena wants to jump in and save the day and she wants to do the same thing, but no one can; they have to let her heal at her own pace. Lena just wants to hold her and tell her everything is going to be okay; Maggie understands that’s because she wants her to know she’ll always be there for her, and Lena agrees she will be. Maggie says there’s a very good chance that the two of them might spend the rest of their lives together, even have a commitment ceremony and the whole package, when she’s ready for a relationship again. Lena says she could kill Michael and Maggie tells her to get in line. She is always going to be a part of Bianca’s life, so as soon as she gives her the signal, she will be the first one to come and tell her the news, “I’ll even stand up for the two of you at the wedding. Hey, I’ll even drive you to Vermont!” Lena has to laugh as she asks if she would do that? Maggie would, on her honor, but until Bianca gives her that signal, she’s got to chill out and stay away from her no matter how hard it is. Lena promises, saying she just wants what’s best for her and wants her to get better.

Now that she knows, Lena tries to reach out to Bianca but is summarily dismissed. Maggie ends up being the one to tell Lena that Bianca simply isn't ready to talk to her just yet.

PARODY

This parody is by LizzieT.

Alexander was still hospitalized out in Vegas.
Alexander: I just heard from Erica Kane. My son Michael is even worse than I thought. :::gasp:::I should have listened to his nanny and drowned him at birth.
Ryan: Erica Kane. It's been a while since I heard that name.
Alexander: Do you know her?
Ryan: I know who she is.
Alexander: Many people could say that. You seem to know her better than that.
Ryan: My father was one of her lovers.
Alexander: Again, many people could say that. Oh no :::groan::::gasp::::
Ryan: Hey, cool! I think you just hit a jackpot. All the little lines on your monitors are spinning at the same time.
Alexander: Help!:::gasp::::
Ryan: Oops! You might be having another heart attack. :::grabs extra in hallway:::Go get someone! This man is dying!
Extra: I don't think so . I read the spoilers for this week and it didn't say anything about that. Alexander: I'm not dead yet. But I'm interested in your history in Pine Valley. Why did you leave?
Ryan: I thought I'd give prime time a shot but I might be ready to go back to Pine Valley now.
Alexander: I think you should go back and take care of my worthless son. Be sure and announce your intentions first. They need more names for the suspect list.

Michael had a guest in jail.
Michael: What are you doing here?
Juan Pablo: There are still those in the audience who resist my charms. I am here to threaten you in hopes they will begin to like me after all. I have heard that hitting you has boosted Aidan's popularity by 50%. I shall now taunt you with jokes about your lack of physical prowess and grab you by the throat. Michael: Guard, help! Call my daddy! He's being mean to me!
Guard: You know Juan Pablo, I didn't care much for you at first. I still can't understand half of what you say, but you seem to be a nice guy. Oh and Mikey, you've got some faxes.
Michael: Hmm, this one says You are dead to me. Must be from Mateo Santos. This one says Die D!ckwad Die - straight from the Media Domain board I presume. This one is from my father. It says You can't be written out soon enough for me - and that goes double for the audience. How sweet. It's the nicest thing he's ever sent to me.

Over at Fusion it was the same old same old.
Mia: Our sexiest man contest is such a success.
Simone: It's amazing we've come up with something that's equally despised by both the critics and the audience.
Mia: And we just got word that a big order has been placed.
Greenlee: By who?
Simone: By Bartles and Jaymes. The more the promos for our contest air the more people are turning to drink. Wine coolers are flying off the shelves.
Mia: It looks like Bicardi may be placing a big order too. Hard liquor sales are also increasing.
David: Hello Greenlee. I came by to see if you were still reeling from the latest trauma in your life.
Greenlee: No, I'm fine. Our sexiest man contest is going great. Fusion is a raging success. The audience can't get enough of us, our storyline, or this contest.
David: I was afraid of this. You've lost your last grasp on reality haven't you?
Greenlee: You got it.
Juan Pablo: I have come from the jail and I need to see the loan contract.
Mia: What loan contract? There wasn't a loan contract. We just found all that money in our account and used it.
Juan Pablo: Did you click anything to accept the transfer of the money?
Simone: I just clicked on the icon that said "want to meet some hot guys".
Juan Pablo: Did you not read the fine print?
Simone: I never read anything. I'm a Fusion girl. We only giggle, squeal and look at pictures of hot guys.
Juan Pablo: Then I must tell you that you have given Fusion to Michael. He now owns your company and your sexiest man contest.
Greenlee: Great. The most unpopular character on the show now owns the most unpopular storyline on the show. That could drive the ratings down to 2.0.

QUOTES

Lena: There must be something I can do. We love each other. That must mean something.

David: There was evidence of penetration. I've concluded that it was heterosexual.

Lena: I knew it wasn't true. You weren't a couple, you and Bianca. You were lying.

Lena: I love her more -- more than she knows, I guess.

Lena: What does it take to get through to you? I'm not "people," I'm her lover. I want to be her partner for the rest of my life.

Lena: I could kill Michael.
Maggie: Yeah, get in line.

Maggie: I am always going to be a part of Bianca’s life. So as soon as she gives me the signal, I will be the first one to come and tell you the news. I'll even stand up for the two of you at the wedding. Hey, I’ll even drive you to Vermont.

***** (clip a) [Erica and Jack tell Lena she should not see Bianca]

[amc030819a starts]
Lena: The guard downstairs said you were out, but I had to wait. Tell me it's a mistake, that it's not true. Oh, God. Oh, Bianca.
Erica: Listen, this is just not a good time to see Bianca, Lena.
Lena: I -- I have to. She needs me.
Erica: She's just not ready. Sorry.
Jack: Lena, Erica is right. This may take a while.
Lena: I know. I want what's best for Bianca. Of course, I do.

***** (clip b) [Bianca refuses to speak with Lena]

[amc030819b starts]
Lena: Bianca, I'm so --
Bianca: I can’t.
David: Bianca needs rest.
Maggie: She really needs to lay down.
David: Excuse us.
Jack: Lena, that's all for now.
Lena: I can't leave her.
Jack: You can't stay here. I'm sorry.
Lena: Well, look, there must be something I can do. We love each other. That must mean something.
Jack: Yes, of course it does, but right now your presence might make what happened to Bianca even harder for her to handle.
Lena: It shouldn't. Not unless -- not unless she blames me.
Jack: No, no, no. No, she has not indicated that she blames you in any way.
Lena: I worked for Michael. I was involved with him. If she's making a connection --
Jack: Lena, listen to me. Bianca has been traumatized. She's confused. You're just going to have to wait this out.
Lena: She's the purest person I’ve ever known, and what he did can't change that, and I need to tell her that.
Jack: I know how much you care for her, but we have to let Bianca choose who she has around her right now.
Lena: Ok, but that pig -- you can put him away, yes?
Jack: I'll make sure that Michael Cambias never harms another woman again.

***** (clip c) [Maggie offers to speak with Lena]

[amc030819c starts]
Maggie: Hi.
Jack: Hi.
Maggie: You know, I'll talk to Lena if you want to be with Erica and Bianca.
Jack: Ok. Lena, just -- just give this some time, ok? Thanks.
Lena: I love her. I should be there comforting her.
Maggie: She's not ready.
Lena: She needs to know that what's happened hasn't changed my feelings, that I still love her. She needs to hear that.
Maggie: Why don't we go get some air, ok?
Lena: Ok.

***** (clip d) [David finds evidence of heterosexual penetration! (no Lena)]

Erica: Well, she's lying down, but I doubt very much that she'll rest. David, please tell me. Tell me the results of the exam. Did you find evidence of the rape?
David: There was evidence of penetration. I've concluded that it was heterosexual.
[amc030819d-inc2 starts]
Jack: Any proof that whatever sexual contact she had was not consensual and that it was with Michael Cambias?
David: Unfortunately, we just have her word for that.
Jack: You can't give me anything that I can use in court?
David: At this time, there really isn't anything concrete. After the test results come in, maybe then we'll talk.
Erica: So then we're here, hoping that she contracts a disease from him so we can use that as ammunition in court? She's going to be all right, isn't she, David? I mean, physically?
David: I put a rush on the blood. After I've examined the reports, I'll tell you what I can. The rest is up to Bianca.
Erica: Well, Michael has to pay for this. Michael Cambias has got to pay.
Jack: Oh, he will, believe me. [amc030819d-inc2 ends] David, have you been in touch with Greenlee?
David: No.
Jack: I found her in Atlantic City and brought her back here.
David: Well, that's the least you could've done, don't you think?
Jack: She's probably at home or at her office if you do want to see her.
David: Erica, if you or Bianca needs anything, call me on my cell, all right? I'll be right here.
Erica: Thank you. Thanks, David.
Jack: I better go check on Bianca.

***** (clip e) [Jack apoligizes to Bianca for not seeing that Michael was a threat to her (no Lena)]

[amc030819e starts]
Jack: Bianca? I should have recognized that Michael Cambias was a threat to you. We had protection in place for all his most obvious targets, but I just never, never thought he'd come after you, and I know it's too little, too late, but would you please let me help you?

***** (clip f) [Erica contacts Alexander Cambias (no Lena)]

[amc030819f-inc1 starts]
Erica: Yes, room 86, please. Alexander, is that you? It's Erica Kane.
Alexander: Erica Kane? How did you find me? And more importantly, what do you want?
[amc030819f-inc1 ends]
Erica: Now, Alexander, I need to speak to you on a very serious subject concerning your son, Michael, and my daughter Bianca.
[Monitor beeps]
Alexander: My son and your daughter? What's going on?

***** (clip g) [Alexander has a heart attack after hearing of Bianca's rape by Michael (no Lena)]

[amc030819g-inc1 starts]
Alexander: Are you sure? I can't express my disgust. You have my deepest sympathies and apologies. Of course not. The only thing I’d do for Michael is to help him get to hell faster than he's managing on his own.
[amc030819g-inc1 ends]
[Alexander gasps]
Ryan: Alex? Hey, hey, man, you all right? Alex? Hey, hey, hey, hey! Listen, I think Cambias is having another heart attack. Go get help! Move it!
[Monitor beeps rapidly]

***** (clip h) [Jack tries to find some evidence against Michael (no Lena)]

[amc030819h starts]
Jack: I can't even imagine how you must feel right now.
Bianca: I can't help you.
Jack: Bianca, what Michael Cambias did to you was criminal and sick, and we are going to make sure that you are safe from him from now on.
Bianca: Safe? I don't feel safe.
Jack: Well, you will when Cambias is in prison where he belongs.
Bianca: He was supposed to be there before.
Jack: This time we'll keep him there. Sweetheart, I -- I hate to take you back to that horrible night, but I'd like --
Bianca: Uncle Jack, I told Anna everything that he did. All of it.
Jack: I read your statement. Honey, you were very, very brave.
Bianca: No, I wasn't. I prayed to die, but no one was listening.
Jack: Well, I'm certainly glad nobody was listening. Bianca, I -- what I'm looking for is something that maybe you missed before, some detail that I can use to convince a jury.
Bianca: Michael raped me.
Jack: I know that, but a jury needs to see evidence.
Bianca: Well, I had a physical examination. David is running tests right now.
Jack: I know. Let me ask you this. When you burned your clothes, did you burn everything?
Bianca: I had to get rid of it all.
Jack: Did Cambias maybe leave something behind at Myrtle’s?
Bianca: Didn't the police search Myrtle’s?
Jack: Yes, yes, but I'm hoping that maybe you might think of something that they would've missed, something that only you would know about.
Bianca: Like what?
Jack: Like did he mix himself a drink? Did he help himself to food?
Bianca: He had a glass of lemonade. He threw the glass against the fireplace when I made him mad.
Jack: Ok, ok. That's the kind of thinking I'm looking for. That proves there was an argument, that you had a fight --
Bianca: I threw out everything after he left. I cleaned it all up. I took the shards, and I threw them in the trash. I had to erase everything. I've never been so ashamed in my life. I've never felt so ugly and so dirty.
Jack: Sweetheart, listen to me. You did nothing wrong. You have nothing to be ashamed of -- nothing. Bianca, would you like me to -- to hold you for a while?
[Bianca nods]

***** (clip i) [Jack and Erica do mild bickering (no Lena)]

[amc030819i starts]
Erica: It seems so long ago. She was so happy and so hopeful. God. It feels so right. Doesn't it?
Jack: If I had just known sooner, if you had just told me about what happened to Bianca earlier, I might have been able to do something.
Erica: Jack, have you forgotten? I did come to you and I did try to tell you I was so concerned about Bianca and that she was so upset.
Jack: Yeah.
Erica: But you immediately accused me of using her to try to get closer to you.
Jack: Yeah, I'm -- please, just don't throw that up in my face again, ok? Please?
Erica: I am not throwing it up in your face, but you just brought this up and now you're acting as if it's my fault.
Jack: No, I'm not saying it's your fault. Look, I'm not trying to place blame anywhere here. Can we just forget about this, please?
Erica: I would love to. [Bianca comes out of her room to overhear] Did you find anything out from her just now? Something that can be used as evidence against Michael Cambias?

***** (clip j) [Maggie asks Lena to be patient with Bianca]

[amc030818j starts]
Lena: I knew it wasn't true. You weren't a couple, you and Bianca. You were lying.
Maggie: Bianca jumped in. I just followed along.
Lena: Maggie, why didn't you come to me and tell me the truth?
Maggie: Because it's not what Bianca wanted.
Lena: She needs me. I love her more -- more than she knows, I guess.
Maggie: There's nothing you could have done.
Lena: You don't know that.
Maggie: I do. Look, at first Bianca was in complete denial. She couldn't accept what had happened, and then a few of us caught on, and she was all about hushing it up. She didn't want anyone to know that she had been raped.
Lena: Ok, but now it's out. Everybody knows. The police know. I belong with her.
Maggie: Lena, I know it's hard, but you have to wait.
Lena: I don't agree.
Maggie: I'm sorry. It's not your call.
Lena: Look, you think that whatever Bianca wants is what's best for her. You said yourself she's traumatized. She doesn't know what she needs.
Maggie: I have been with her, and I have seen what she's been going through, believe me.
Lena: No, look, she belongs with me, ok? Maybe you're just being overprotective because -- because you're jealous of our relationship.
Maggie: No. No, I'm not.
Lena: Well, she thought she was in love with you once when your sister died.
Maggie: None of that stuff factors in, I promise you. She just can't be around people right now. It's as simple as that.
Lena: What does it take to get through to you? I'm not "people," I'm her lover. I want to be her partner for the rest of my life.
Maggie: Well, then, if you really love her, then you have to leave her alone. Bianca's not ready right now.
Lena: Because I'm responsible. Because I slept with the man who raped her.
Maggie: I really don't think that's what she's thinking.
Lena: I was with Michael to save my job, to help my mother. I wish I’d handled it differently. I hate myself now and so does she. She does, doesn't she? She hates me.
Maggie: No. No, no, she never said anything like that. She just didn't want you to find out that she was raped.
Lena: She feels it's my fault.
Maggie: You know, you don't know how she feels or what she feels. None of us do. That's why we have to respect how she wants to deal with this.
Lena: Oh, I do respect it.
Maggie: You want to jump in and you want to save the day, and I understand because I want to do the same exact thing, but I can’t.
Lena: You can't?
Maggie: No, you can't, I can't, no one can. We have to let her heal at her own pace.
Lena: I just want to hold her and tell her she's going to be ok.
Maggie: And let her know that you will always be there for her.
Lena: Yes. Yes, Maggie, I will be.
Maggie: Look, there's a very good chance that the two of you might spend the rest of your lives together, have a commitment ceremony, the whole package -- when she's ready for a relationship again.
Lena: I could kill Michael.
Maggie: Yeah, get in line. I am always going to be a part of Bianca’s life. So as soon as she gives me the signal, I will be the first one to come and tell you the news. I'll even stand up for the two of you at the wedding. Hey, I’ll even drive you to Vermont.
Lena: You'd do that?
Maggie: On my honor, but until she gives me that signal, you have to chill out. You have to stay away from her, no matter how hard it is, ok? Do you promise?
Lena: Yes. I just want what's best for her. I want her to get better.

***** (clip k) [Jack mentions that Lena's relationship with Michael may factor into Michael's defense (Lena mention)]

[amc030819k starts]
Jack: Erica, to convict Cambias, we need evidence.
[Bianca is still listening in]
Erica: Well, Bianca is a lesbian. She would never have consensual sex with a man.
Jack: Well, her girlfriend did.
Erica: Lena's past with Michael Cambias is irrelevant.
Jack: Is it?
Erica: Yes. Bianca was raped.
Jack: I know that, but any good defense attorney -- and you know Cambias is going to have the best -- is going to make mincemeat of her on that witness stand. He's going to say, "Well, maybe, Ms. Montgomery, you wanted to experience what your girlfriend Lena had experienced with Michael Cambias."
Erica: Oh, that's obscene.
Jack: I know it is, but that's what we're up against. Now, David himself just said there's no proof whatsoever that she had sex with Michael Cambias, whether by choice or by force.
[Bianca is horrified]

***** (clip l) [Bianca listens to Jack state they have a crappy case against Michael (no Lena)]

[amc030819l starts]
[Bianca still listening]
Erica: Who are they going to believe, Bianca or Michael?
Jack: Oh, it's not that simple, Erica.
Erica: Why not? First of all, Bianca was so compelling when she testified, she was clearly telling the truth, and you're going to get character witnesses, and you are going to show Michael Cambias for the -- for the creepy, woman-hating thug that he is.
Jack: Well, even if we get his true colors out there, I'm going to need more than that to convict.
Erica: You're going to win, Jack. I know you will.
Jack: Then you better pray for a miracle in the meantime. I mean, I'll do all I can, but without that miracle, I'm just afraid that judge is going to -- I'm afraid that that judge is going to laugh me out of court and set Cambias free again.
[Bianca starts to withdraw]
