Title: Move Over, Xena
By:
Move over, Xena From the folks who brought you Xena: Warrior Princess comes Cleopatra 2525, a new syndicated sci-fi action series about an evil band of humanoids who have conquered Earth. The planet's only hope? Three hot, tough female renegades, of course. There's Hel, who receives a mysterious voice through an implant in her jaw; Sarge, her warrior sidekick; and Cleopatra, an exotic dancer who comes out of a cryogenically frozen state centuries after lapsing into a coma during plastic surgery. Although the gals were no doubt created for male viewers, some lesbians are intrigued. "I hope there's one like Kate Jackson," says comic Elvira Kurt. "Someone plucky and androgynous." "The women kick a lot more ass on our show," says Moran. "And they're clad completely in midriff-exposing fibers." [snip]
