SYNOPSIS

Lena tries to deliver Bianca's message to Kendall but is not allow access to Kendall, the prisoner; Lena asks Jackson for help and he refuses; Lena goes to Bianca and tells her that Kendall has been arrested for attempted murder of Ryan; Bianca drags Maggie and Lena to the jail to tell the PVPD that they are idiots for arresting Kendall because, like, everyone knows that Kendall has always loved Ryan; When Bianca's tactics don't work, Lena confesses to putting the poison in the pills. Next on AMC: Jackson asks if Lena is confessing to putting the posion in the pills just to get Kendall off.

Lena informs Bianca of Kendall's arrest. Bianca arrives at the police station and insists that Kendall be released. Seeing Bianca's turmoil, Lena confesses that she put the poison in Michael's allergy pills.

Kendall is brought into Derek’s office and told Lt. Frye and the A.D.A. want to have a word with her. Lena rushes into the station and tells an officer she must see Kendall Hart—it’s urgent! The cop asks if she’s her lawyer? Derek tells him Miss Kundera is many things, but Mrs. Cambias’ lawyer is not one of them. Lena insists she has a very important message for her! Justin doesn’t care about the message, saying that woman is finished, “She just doesn’t know it yet.”

When Jack and Aidan come in, Lena tells Jack they won’t let her see Kendall, and she has a message for her from Bianca. Jack can’t help her, saying he could make things worse for everybody if he goes barging in there now. She leaves...

At their apartment, Bianca tells Maggie she doesn’t know what she would have done if Kendall hadn’t come up with that lie about wanting her to file a personal injury lawsuit against the Cambias estate and Ryan to get everything Michael owned, including Enchantment. Erica bought it because that’s what everyone expects from Kendall, and she went ballistic; all she could do was sit there and watch Kendall go through that! Maggie thinks it may be a warning sign; Kendall trashed her relationship with their mother just to keep her secret, so maybe it’s time to tell Erica she’s still pregnant. Bianca thinks that would be ten times worse for everyone, but Maggie points out that Kendall knows she’s still pregnant. As Bianca repeats that she’s not telling her mother, Lena comes to the door. She explains she couldn’t relay Bianca’s message because the police wouldn’t let her near Kendall; Bianca’s shocked when she says Kendall’s been arrested for trying to kill Ryan Lavery...

...Bianca comes in the open door and announces that she’s here for her sister, and isn’t leaving until they let her go!

Kendall insists Bianca has to take care of herself, especially now, but Bianca asks her uncle why they’re holding her? Derek says her sister’s prints were found on the bottle that poisoned Ryan Lavery. Bianca insists there’s some other explanation! If they really knew Kendall, they’d know she is not capable of poisoning anyone. Aidan listens as Bianca adds, “Especially Ryan Lavery—she loves him! She’s always loved Ryan, forever!” She says someone needs to do something to have her released, or she, Maggie and Lena will do it for them! Derek tells Bianca everyone hated to see Cambias walk after what he did to her, but that doesn’t excuse what her sister did, and she has to face the consequences of what she’s done. Bianca retorts that all of them are to blame for this! Jack nods as she says if they had done their jobs, if they had put Michael Cambias away for raping her, none of this would have happened. Michael would be alive, nobody would be accused of his murder, and he’d be the one behind bars, not Kendall! Justin says no one’s going to argue that with her, but her sister is under arrest because she tried to whack her business rival! He tells her to calm down, and Jack curses as he tells him to back off! Kendall tells Bianca to just go, but Bianca insists she needs someone to protect her now. Aidan promises to protect Kendall, but Bianca cries it’s not going to do any good—they want to see Kendall behind bars! She tells Kendall they think she’s like her father, but she’s not, “They don’t know what we know, Kendall; they don’t know that the children are innocent!” Maggie urges her to go right now, but Bianca goes on that they can’t be blamed for who their parents are or what they do! She insists, “I’m not going to leave without you, Kendall! I’m going to protect you this time. I love you, and I can’t do this without you.” She hugs her sister as she promises she won’t let them lock her up—she’s going to protect her! Lena cries out for them to stop this—Kendall didn’t poison him! Derek asks how she knows this? Lena declares, “She didn’t put the poison in the pills—because I did!”

Team Tarzek pressures Kendall for a confession. Jack and Aidan stand around like the useless lumps they are. At least Aidan goes about it in a hot way, I guess. Bianca barges into the room in a full-on Kane snit about how her beloved big sister is incapable of bringing herself to murder anyone. She demands that Kendall be released. Wow, Erica would really be proud of her. Lena finally blurts that SHE put the poison in the bottle. Looks like she may have taken Erica's long ago poison pill strategy a bit too literally...

The Set-Up – At the hospital, Greenlee and Ryan wake up from a nightmare to discover they are living a nightmare.

At Adam’s, Erica offers to redo Mary’s plastic surgery - with a hook and a jab. Upstairs, Babe and J.R. get so busy that I actually begin to mourn Beastmund and Chesty LaRue’s elbow porn.

At the police station, Lena tries to deliver Bianca’s very important and very secret message to Kendall, but everyone keeps her out of the room: only limeys are allowed to speak with suspects.


The Hospital – Ryan tells Greenlee he "took care of Kendall" for her by letting her use to jet to leave the country; Greenlee accuses him of having manipulated the situation so that Kendall would have no claim on Alexander’s inheritance and decides he set Kendall up by poisoning himself.

Oh, if only he were that smart and if only he had succeeded.


Portia’s House Of Friendship – Bianca tells her bestest pal Maggie that Kendall, at great personal loss, covered for her with Erica when she couldn’t think of a lie to tell. While it was painful to have her back turned to her mother and sister while they hashed it out, Bianca says that Kendall’s misery is not reason enough to tell her mother she didn’t have the abortion.

Lena, who by now has learned that all roads through the park bifurcate in whichever direction you need to go and get you there in 30 seconds or less, drops by to tell Bianca she couldn’t deliver her message.

Lena: "Kendall has been arrested for trying to kill Ryan Lavery."

Am I the only one who thinks about lavatories when Ryan’s last name is mentioned?

Bianca: "No."

The distress! The pain! The heartbreak! Tonight, at 11.


The Police Station – Kendall refuses to answer any questions without her attorney present so Derek and TagAlongADA share a wink – subtly, as if the juice of an entire lemon had just landed in their eyes - and proceed to discuss the merits of the case in a futile attempt to scare Kendall into confessing.

Guys, Kendall has seen Ryan’s pecs many, many times: you think she can survive that and be scared by your bad cop/incompetent ADA routine? Please.


Betsy’s Room Of Horrors – Babe and J.R. continue to gross me out and have convinced me that buying bleach 10 gallons at a time is a very sound investment indeed.


The Police Station – Jack walks into the office to remind Derek and MiniTarzan that anything Kendall might have said cannot be used against her because she’s waiting for her lawyer; Bianca interrupts and demands that her sister be let go because, d*** it, she doesn’t want to wait for a stupid lawyer to get her out: her word should be enough.

Bianca: "Have you all gone crazy? Will someone please do something? Or Maggie, Lena and I will do it for you."

Bianca, I think you forgot to ask them if they know who you are. Oh, and that you’ll have their jobs if they don’t do what you want and Derek can get ready to write traffic tickets for the rest of his life. Take a lesson from Julia Phillips and shout it out: "You’ll never eat lunch in this town again!"


Betsy’s Room Of Cooties – With J.R. out of the house, Mary moves in for Plan B but forgets to bring Babe a thesaurus.

Mary: "I can’t tell you how nice it is to have another distaff member of the house to talk with."
Babe: "I don’t work here."

Bwah! Oh, Babe: you get comedy gold without even trying!

Not one to be shamed into admitting English is a touchy subject, Babe gets Mary back:

Babe: "So, you and Adam are like, what, bed buds?"
Mary: "Bed bugs?"

Heh. No, Mary: Babe wants to know if you and Adam are friends with benefits: is he your pool boy?

Downstairs, Adam agrees to tell Erica what he saw her do the night Michael disappeared. Erica, weren't you there?


The Hospital – Turns out that sweet ole’ Gramps was on a mission to kill Carlos after all: unfortunately, Juan Pablo caught on before he could shoot the boring brother.

Outside Greenlee’s room, the floor nurse tells Ryan not to "fraternize with patients" and that Dr. Maria wants him "flat on his back." Do you think it’s the hair?


The Police Station – Derek says that Kendall’s actions are not justified, not even in light of what Michael did to Bianca – and that’s absolutely right, except that a case against Kendall still has not been made, so speaking as if Kendall had already been convicted is utterly moronic.

Bianca: "You’re the ones to blame for this, all of you. If you had done your jobs, if you had put Michael Cambias away for raping me, then none of this would have happened."

Yeah, and if you had reported the rape and not destroyed the evidence, the police and the D.A. might have been able to put Michael in jail – and here it is, Voldemort has come full circle: it’s time to blame the victim for her stupidity.  I was wondering just how long it would take the writing team to get here.

Kendall tries to get Bianca to leave, but she’s too busy rewriting We Are The World.

Bianca: "They want to see [Kendall] behind bars, everyone wants to see her locked up. They don’t know, they think that you’re like your father, but you’re not. They don’t know what we know, Kendall, they don’t know that the children are innocent. Children can’t be blamed for who their parents are, for what their parents do: it’s not their fault."

So, children are our future then?

Bianca: "I’m not going to leave without you, Kendall. I’m going to protect you this time. I love you. I can’t do this without you."

Aww, what about Maggie? Heh.


The Last Scenes – Dr. Maria feels like a chump because she didn’t realize Gramps was a killer and feels she "should have sensed something." Chesty, those pointy things? They’re not homing beacons.

At the Chandler mansion, Mary sashays around the room looking for dirt on Babe and fancies herself a spy of Watergate proportions. Mary, you delightful cradle robber: remember Nixon?

At the police station, Lena reveals that she was the one who poisoned Michael’s pills. Thank god, ‘cause I thought Bianca might get into her own special version of Whitney Huston’s The Greatest Love Of All.


TOMORROW ON ALL MY CHILDREN: Jack asks Lena whether she confessed in order to protect Kendall; Tad tells Liza that Jamie slept with Babe; Juan Pablo tells Greenlee to get lost.

Ryan showed up in Greenlee's hospital bed.
Greenlee: What are you doing here?
Ryan: They didn't put up the ICU set today. So did you hear Kendall tried to kill me?
Greenlee: Too bad she missed.
Ryan: Now now. Don't start sounding like those message board people. Shall we have another one of our heart to heart talks about how life isn't giving us what we want?
Greenlee: I guess. Or I could be mad at you and throw things at you.
Ryan: That's good too. One way or another the audience may figure out they're probably putting us together.

Carlos had a visitor.
Old Man: I just want to pray at the bedside of the dear boy.
Juan Pablo: No. I cannot allow it.
Maria: Please Juan Pablo. I'm an excellent judge of character and I know this old man is truly sorry.
Juan Pablo: Very well. You may.
Old Man: Thank you. I would get down on my knees but I don't want to drop my gun.
Juan Pablo: Ha! So you are an assassin! You are one of the Argentinian hit squad aren't you?
Old Man: No. I'm just an audience member who can't stand this storyline another minute. The message board people picked me to do it because I look so harmless.
Maria: I'm sorry Juan Pablo. I guess when I had amnesia I forgot that I'm a terrible judge of character.
Juan Pablo: It is too dangerous here. You must stay away.
Maria: Forget it. They never put up the Wildwind set anymore. As pitiful as it is, this is my only storyline and I won't desert it.

In a stunning turn of events Babe and JR had sex.
Babe: I can't believe how often we do this. I guess we're proving that we're young newlyweds in love.
JR: That or they hope by making the audience sick, they'll stop writing letters asking for more romance on AMC. Oh no! Kendall was arrested. I need to go see Ryan and find out what this is all about.
Babe: Why does this concern you?
JR: Kendall and I were pretty close once back when I was the Eyebrow Boy. We tried again when I was The Twitcher. But don't worry. That's all in the past.
Babe: Because you love me?
JR: Yeah. And besides I'm way too short for her now.

Later Mary came in to bond with Babe.
Mary: Just look at these clothes dear. They look trampy. Let me take you shopping so you can dress like a woman of Pine Valley.
Babe: Great. I want to shop at the same stores where the Fusion girls buy all their clothes.
Mary: On second thought, your clothes aren't so bad after all. But let's still go shopping so I can pump you for information.
Babe: That sounds like fun. I'm used to being pumped.

Babe: Never mind. You leave the room for a minute so I can pop into the secret tunnel and eavesdrop.

Erica came to see Adam.
Erica: What did you see the night Michael disappeared?

These two witnesses in vegas that saw you with a living and breathing michael cambias -- craziest thing happened, lieutenant. They just up and disappeared.
Kendall: They'll show up.
Justin: Oh, really? You think so? Every story you have given us has been impossible for us to verify.
Kendall: Is it my fault your guys are so damn incompetent?
Derek: Well, why don't you make it easy on us poor, dumb cops. Why don't you make it easy on yourself, kendall. On your family. I mean, this has got to be tough on bianca.
Jack: So, how's it going in here, gentlemen?
Justin: Jack, I thought I was handling this case.
