SYNOPSIS:
Synopsis by Liz Sheppard
Once again, the stupid
hockey went into overtime(I'm really getting sick
of this), so Kayli at the Hercules netforum helped me
out with the
beginning. Here goes. Herc is walking Katherine, the
pig, home. He is
talking to her and she responds to something he says.
Herc is surprised to
discover that he can still communicate with her.
Next, we see Ares with
Discord as a chicken. Discord is in a fowl mood and
wants Ares to turn her back. Ares decides to keep her
as a chicken for a
while. He wants to get revenge *on Iolaus first, for
humiliating him.
Iolaus and Auto are on
their way back from returning the sandals to a
somewhat disgruntled Hermes and are continuing to argue
with each other.
Ares appears and tells the two that they are about to
have a really bad
day. He chains the two together with chains made by
Hephaestus. When Iolaus
and Auto seem unconcerned, Ares decides that it isn't
enough and takes away
their clothes. He says he has a big surprise planned
for them, *evil
laugh*. He vanishes, leaving the two in their birthday
suits.
Iolaus and Auto, decked
out in leaves, argue some more. Iolaus wants to
find some clothes, but Auto points out that they
couldn't get them on while
they're chained together. They head off towards
Katherine's village to find
Herc so he can remove that chains before Ares' "Big
Surprise" gets there.
Herc and Katherine are
still on their way to her village. Katherine
decides she wants to be human. Herc tries to talk her
out of it.
Auto and Iolaus steal
some sacks from a passing merchant and put them on.
They argue some more and start jerking each other
around with the chains.
The fight escalates and they roll around in the dirt a
bit and fall in a
big mud puddle. Covered in mud, they argue about which
way the village is.
They see a little girl and go to ask her directions.
Ares is watching them
and says that no one will be able to understand them
*evil laugh*. They end
up scaring the girl so bad that she screams and runs to
some villagers
talking about a monster. The villagers freak and plan
to get it.
While Herc is still
trying to talk Katherine out of being human, Aphrodite
shows up and has impure thoughts about Herc and a pig.
Katherine tells Aph
that she wants to be a human, and Aph turns into a
human that looks just
like her. Katherine jumps for joy. She starts
complaining about clothes,
then she jumps into mud and starts stripping; much to
the amusement of the
male viewers.
Iolaus and Auto argue
some more(really, when do they not??). They run into
the mob of villagers, so they try to talk to them, but
the villagers can't
understand them. The mob tries to kill them. Auto eats
some Goosenberries,
and falls asleep. Iolaus(while carrying the sleeping
Auto on his back)
reaches a bridge. While on it, he wishes for some big
boots, so Ares gives
them both big feet, deforms their faces, and takes away
the bridge to they
fall in a river.
Herc takes Katherine,
who's wearing Herc's shirt, to a fancy restaurant.
Words of wisdom: never take someone who used to be a
pig to a fancy
restaurant. She eats her food without her hands, and
Herc does the same so
she won't be embarrassed alone.
The mob finds Iolaus and
Autolycus again, but a circus owner named
Barnabus takes them to be in his freak show. Iolaus and
Auto decide to act
freaky so the mob won't kill them. While in a cage,
Auto reveals a pick he
was hiding somewhere on his naked person.
Katherine runs into a
horse who tells her that her family back home misses
her very much. Herc goes to the circus and in some
magical half-god way,
recognizes Iolaus and Auto right away. Herc laughs at
them, then breaks the
chain. After the chain is broken, they return to
normal.
Auto starts walking
around then notices something really really big. He
runs back to Iolaus and the circus freaks, but is
speechless. They go back
down the same path and see that Discord has become a
really big
Godzilla-like chicken. She goes after Iolaus while Auto
and the freaks
hide, but that doesn't work. They find a big basket of
Gossenberries and
feeds it to Discord. She falls asleep and Ares shows up
to take her
away(she never was turned back into normal-thank the
gods! Boy, do I hate
her...sorry). Iolaus and Auto declare their friendship,
and they sleep
together(no kidding!). OK, so maybe it was the
Goosenberries that are to
blame, but H:TLJ can have sub-text too!
Herc takes Katherine back
home and Aph turns her back into a pig. She
greets her piggy friends and everybody is happy.

Opper. I also found this announcement on the Bruce
Campbell website from the man himself:
"Hey gang!
Guess what? It looks like the King o' Thieves is
gonna steal about 11 more episodes this year between
the two shows, 'Herc' and 'Xena'. This new assignment
will also include a few more directing assignments
and a pilot for a new show (no, I don't know what it
will be) later this year. As always - stay tuned for
det
ails, but better yet - watch the darn shows!

Opper. I got some new information about the Hercules episode 'One Fowl Day'. This
is straight off of the Bruce Campbell website: "The storyline has changed on 'One Fowl Day'. It is a direct continuation of 'Porcules'. In 'Fowl' the dastardly Discord (Ares mole) is turned into a chicken by Iolaus. Ares then punishes him (and Auto by association) in many many many ways ... think chains, nakedness, and mud. The current project is being directed by the jovial Michael Hurst." On the website they also have pictures from the episode with Iolaus and Autolycus dressed like trees. 01-25-98. Heath Opper
reports that Bruce Campbell plays a new character
called "Thespius" in this episode. Campbell's website
says that Thespius is an obnoxious actor who tags
along with Hercules to learn how to portray a hero.
